Let's think of the reasons behind people setting NSFW stuff as their avatar. 1. They just like the picture. 2. They want to be known to have a certain title ie: "The guy with the anime girl getting fucked" or "guy with the dancing alpaca". 3. They do it to get others to join their following of weeaboo/furry/pedo shit. 4. They enjoy jerking it to that image so whenever they see their own post they can jerk it to both the image and their own opinions. Asking someone to set their avatar to something SFW is not much to ask on a forum that is free to post on and is pretty lenient with the rules. Having something that isn't NSFW as your avatar isn't imposing on your freedom or whatever it is, just be considerate of those around you. I am fine with titles being NSFW if it's a link because come on, you are clicking the link to go somewhere and some text isn't going to bother many people. Seeing a naked man/woman/something inbetween will.

it's less of blatant NSFW avatars and more of extremely questionable/cutout portions of NSFW images that are made into avatars, and people abuse that to the point where it's actually gonna get moderated. realistically you don't see super-topless girl getting peg'd by a horse; what you do see is either an anime girl getting rocked or a gay-dragon-missionary position that's cutout so you don't see the dong. god have mercy on your soul if you browse FP at school
