Wow, very interesting. I'll be keeping an eye on this.
(Por cierto, people and police are plural nouns in English, unlike in Spanish)
Que vuestra revolución sea un éxito.
If it does break out and you're caught in the middle of a deadly fight, watch the damage you do to your opponent. Even if they are killing your fellow men, they are still people and they are doing it because they are defending what they think is right, jutst like you, and, just like you, they are doing it for their families and for the future of us all.
I don't know who is right, but violence is a horrible way to solve problems, use it only if necessary, and use it only in the necessary ammount.
Buena suerte.
wayyy off topic but, i think is time i got to know this.
how do you sadbull like op?
btw, joint the rebolution i wish i had one where i live

And a list of emotes: http://www.facepunch.com/misc.php
And, on topic, I hope this ends well. Spain seems to be going through a lot of crap recently, it would be nice to see a happy ending to this.
Viva La Revolution.
Poder para la gente!*
But that chant isn't very common in spanish anyways.
I think "¡Sí se puede!" would fit a little better.
We need a revolution in the US
We would end up with like three separate countries and a lot of dead people.
Most of the protesters (a.k.a. Indignados) here stay all night long at Puerta del Sol, Madrid. Damn i wouldn't stay even a night there, but i'll see in a few days.
In fact we are not as much bad but we are tired about some stuff. It started by Democracia Real Ya, and the ask for the followings basics, that are much more than logical. http://democraciarealya.es/?page_id=234

This all is a free translation but it is part of the problem. Here it's like if we had just two parties and people forgot that there is some alternatives in small parties, because they have disadvantages in the elections and other stuff. Corruption has become usual, 123 candidates in the next elections are accused of corruption. For years this has always be like this but finally we have started to protest.
Bad english but I hope you to understand the most of it.
Gracias por la info! Añadida al OP
Every day it seems like people are getting angrier and angrier with the government in place, no matter which country it seems to be.
That vid's only worth watching if you mute it.
Hehehe
Deseo pueder hablar espanol bueno
Oh, yes, I've been hearing about this everywhere.
We have an immense rate of unemployement because of (for example) enterprises that only want to get more money by firing employees, banks that think they can get away from the past crysis and never want to cease growing rich and more rich, goverments that can't do shit to fix anything (Neither the current one or the opposition) and only fight and insult each other like babies in a kindergarden, all those corrupt politicans that are getting away from getting jailed (Fabra, Francisco Camps...), all the extreme right-wing forces controlling the justice, all this bipartidism bullshit (Because the electoral system is fucking rigged so only the two main parties win the elections)...
Yeah, a lot of shit going on, let's hope all this protests have a real effect in our country, because knowing the media here I assume they're not going to inform about anything nor show any images of the protests
Just a question to those in Spain. Is this just the people frustrated with the economy, like the riots in Greece, or is the government actually fucked up, and the economy is just making it worse?
I think "¡Sí se puede!" would fit a little better.
More like "El pueblo! unido! Jamás será vencido!"
I'm actually going to Spain after graduation, hopefully this won't reach Basque country.
I'm afraid Americans and other (probably) non-European (maybe with the exception of Australia and NZ) will give too much importance to this or see it as evidence they're the only free people in the World.
People in Spain aren't under any kind of dictatorship, nor are they oppressed. I hope the message gets across to your politicians that you need change. This is very different from Egypt. Glenn Beck is an idiot.

It's not economy, it's everything, corruption and politicians that only want to earn money and get some advantages, media manipulation. If it was just one thing Spanish will not protest because lazyness and that in spain its "normal" to defraud the state.

In fact ther are giving not much information and caotically.

Well, there is quite a revolt there with the ETA, but they've been pushed back to France.

[editline]19th May 2011[/editline]
Woah what happened?
Well this will make a change to my economics exam soon (it's partially on Spain's economy)
I'm surprised that the public don't like the government seeing as they have really high unemployment benefits especially considering the 20.1% unemployment.
-Forbid to rescue banks again. They should go to bankrupt or being nationalized.
Letting the banking sector collapse is much worse than bailing them out.
Spain is in need of a reform anyway, they've not adjusted well to the euro as they were too reliant on currency devaulation before to keep their international competitive edge, which with the fixed exchange rate to other euro countries is now down the crapper.

Hey blue scotti, the fuck are you doing sitting on a computer instead of going to a protest and support the movement?
Hmmm...also, what do you think about spanish monarchy? keep/abolish?
If you mean the monarchy of now, yeah i don't mind, as it doesn't do any issues. It's just only the existence of kings and princes (and maybe legislature) though.
