Silly protester, you can't add post tags in real life!
If you mean the monarchy of now, yeah i don't mind, as it doesn't do any issues. It's just only the existence of kings and princes (and maybe legislature) though.
As far as I'm concerned we pay all their luxuries and stuff with our public taxes, so having them out would mean more public money for more important stuff like science or education
But personally, I think we have more important things to do before thinking about taking monarchy out or not

Why don't we just go live in the forest. It's what I'm doing tomorrow. Gonna set up camp in Northern california doing weed run raids stealing their plants for food. If you join my guild you get a 50% XP bonus, along with 4 votes in the monthly election.
We need a revolution in the US
Give me one serious reason that you can describe in detail. Just one.
This seems kind of aimless. Your goals are vague at best, and it looks like it's just a lot of people being angry for the sake of being angry. It's like a left-wing Tea Party.
Isn't the protest about lack of jobs for graduated students and such, so if you're 15 and still in education aren't you just jumping on the bandwagon and protesting for the sake of it ?
I mean, if the government is screwing up then obviously its good to let them know that, I just think it's silly when people protest for the sake of it
While I can see that you have some good things in the things you're going to fix, have you got a, well, larger plan? Because ruling an entire country is not just something you do. At the same time, this is probably how indemocratic as it gets, is it every person in whole Spain that want a revolution?

If you read first post of the thread you can read concrete proposals. I dont understand why you think that people protest for the sake of it.

There will be oder concentrations in the future, the plane is not to rule the country. The movement don't wants to become a politician party. We want to change theelection system because we want in the future to vote to the party that we like in the same conditions that if we do that for the most big parties.
It's not a revolution in the sense of "viva la revolusion" xD In the movement are people of all parties and ideologies, right and left people so I think that most of the people wants it.
The current King is pretty chill. I like him.

Surprised he hasn't said anything yet about the whole thing (to my knowledge anyway)
I made a thread in the news section, didn't get too far :sigh:
On topic, this is failing pretty hard, people are still voting the major parties, and the participation has only risen 7% since the last elections in 2007. So shit will be the same so far, what's left is to see what'll happen these days.
About the movement, 'Democracia real ya' and 'no les votes', their points are basically:
Don't vote the major parties, VOTE, and do vote the minor parties.
And that's it, they don't give two fucks who you vote for as long as it isn't the major parties. Even the fascists aprove this movement. Personally I don't think this will change the country in any way, it's a shame, but it simply won't happen. We need more people
Don't you just love how they [the goverment] literally banned protesting aswell?
Meh.
This thread requires some British comedy.
Hey.. The Portugese one better stops before i go on vacation there.
Can't get naughty with Nelly Furtado and shake hands with Ronaldo if i get shot.
The Portuguese one was just a demonstration to get the government's attention to the fact that young people can't get jobs because there's no job opportunities, it's over too anyway so you can come with no worries of getting shot.

They might be worried about their future.

The solution is really easy : Leave the euro, nationalise all banks and allow the central bank of spain to lend money to the state instead of being forced to take a loan from private banks (only two countries in the world do that, Iran and venezuela, maybe north korea too). As the global economic system is dislocating, this solution really makes sense. Soon, every country, including the US, will go back to gold standard. As corruption comes mostly from the international banking cartel, politicians would be then less corrupted if you remove that grip.
When you guys are done with the revolution can you hand it over the pond? It seems to be moving West anyhow.
We just got beaten in Barcelona, Spain

Don't worry, the police just kicked out the protesters in Plaza Catalunya, unless they were there helding their ground against the police, nothing so far should've happened to them :)
Video of the protest beating, sorry for being 1 day late

I bet they throw dried tomatoes :v:
This whole revolution is good, but it should be a serious thing, not protestors waving that "fffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu-" thing. What happens on the internet should stay on the internet.
Is this enought serious ? Hitting people that are not deffending theirself. ( second video is better )

They started to charge against people because they wanted clean the square, literally.

Atrocious. I seriously hope no one else tries to justify this with that "they were trying to kick them out of the square" nonsense any longer.
