oh god
Might do a pack of reviews for my ECHO1 AK-74M, VFC M4 and the Rossia Gear towards the end of the month, once I get to field them more than once. What bases need to be covered for these reviews?
I forgot to update the review of my F2000, so let's do it now. I'm just gonna copy and paste what i already had then add onto it. So as everyone knows i scored an F2000. So, after finding out some stuffs about it, i figured it was time for a review. There are two things i love very much about this gun, one being adjustable FPS, second being super fucking quick strip down, simply press the gray button on the right side of the weapon in, and slide the entire front assembly off the gun. Assembly release button. Looks like this pushed in. Assembly slides right off. FPS adjustment screw. The hop up is concealed under here: It has a P90 style fire selector: And another thing i loved is the easy ability to "HK slap"(even though its an FN rifle) with out the bolt breaking like on other HK airsoft guns. Now to get to the description. First thing i noticed when i picked it up was the weight. Not overly heavy, i could see carrying into combat. It was the perfect weight, it made it fell so much more solid. Most of the weight is in the back, and some say it makes it difficult to shoulder, and i agree, but its not so bad. Reloading is much easier than i thought, as the magazine is not that far behind the trigger. It was amazingly ergonomic, so comfortable to hold and shoot, everything seemingly in the right place. Cheek weld was perfect, i could sight in with no problem. There are some problems i have with the weapon, none too major though. First is that the buttpad is extremely hard to get on, its just the way its designed. Second is the fire selector, its very stiff and it has a tendency to move past the fire rate you want, because you will be pushing too hard. Firing the F2000 was fun, it has a slight kick, but not much. I didnt have a battery with me, so we had to borrow one of TAAs, and it was under charged, so i know if i used my own the RPS would be much higher. All in all it seems like an all-around-weapon, short enough to be used in CQB, thanks to its adjustable FPS, and long enough to be used in a field game. Now to build a BF:BC2 US soldier loadout. Now for the update bit. After having used it in multiple environments, multiple times, i've learned a lot about this gun. First, the range is not very good, and the hop-up leaves a bit to be desired. The receiver release button is extremely annoying, and has a tendency to push out during a game and fuck over the gun by releasing the current mags contents into the body of the gun. i have taken to duct taping this button during games. The accuracy is alright, not wonderful, and the hop-up is difficult to work with. If i ever upgrade this gun, it will be a new barrel, and a new hop-up. Because while both are above average, they could go with a replacement. This is not a useful gun for a field game. Why, you ask? Well, when i went to Revelations, the accuracy was piss-poor, and the range was just woeful. This may be in part to a dirty barrel, but the effect should not be that great. I ended up borrowing some guy's AUG for the rest of the day, or an M60. I lent someone else the F2000 to use. For CQB however, this gun is extremely flexible. The adjustable FPS is perfect for any site, no tricky spring replacement. The short forward barrel(past your forward hand) is MP5k length, making it easy to move past corners. The heavy back-weight is very managable as well. Recently, the bolt handle on it snapped off. I'm the one who did that, on accident, i wasn't aware that the weight of the gun was resting on the handle, but this is a fault that should be brought up. I've also heard stories of the rear sight getting bent easily, and being generally weak, which calls into question the quality of the materials being used. Bottom line is; It's without a doubt a good gun, but the inability to use this in a field game(at least, the short barrel variant), makes this almost exclusively a CQB gun. See this how you will, i still have no idea what i would use if i went back to a game at Ballahack. The polymer is very tough and handles EVERYTHING i throw at it, but the metal, not so much. It's not pot metal, instead appears to be aluminum, but still. Steel, on a gun with very few metal parts, cannot be that expensive.
