My sister's wedding reception was during Earth Hour, we had about 100 people drinking out in the moonlight at a lawn bowls club, there were candles too. It was really cool.
I turn on all my lights when this stupid political shit happens. I also sometimes play the soviet national anthem.
Do you have a fan pointed at your drinks at all time or something?
That was pretty dumb. A fan does not decrease temperture, it just move heat faster. Which means, that if your drink is a lower temperature than room temperature, a fan would increase the heat of the drink faster.
Oh fuck I tottally forgot about Earth Hour which was 4 hours ago
Damn it, went with this unwillingly, left the house for like 12 hours and everything was off.
I forgot about it and watched The Day After Tomorrow.
sucks, I realized this at 10:30, when it was too late
Too risky, my PC is life support.
I didn't really have a choice, the power went out for that hour.
Even tho the concept is nice and I did particicpate, Where I live our electricity is all produced by 17 stations, of which ONLY 3 are natural Gas (of which 2 are backups, and none of them feed MY city), and the other 14 are hydro dams. We also have a few wind farms, and are in the process of building more. So my electricity has less than half the footprint than most of yours. :D Because of our power being hydro produced, most Manitoban citizens commonly refer to the electrical company/grid as "hydro".
Turning every appliance on that I own.
Time to make unprecedented amounts of toast and smoothies. I enjoy late ratings.
You know what I'm going to do? Use as much electricity as I can.
I agree, this earth day is for hippies.
I forgot to do this last year I'll probably forget to do it this year.

I put a fan on in summer, it seems to cool me down.
well its happening now... i'm using my laptop with a fleshlight... ~meh as well as legit idling
Didn't need to know that.
Fuck Earth Hour. Some day I am going to die, and I am going to take the Earth with me.
Not if I die first.
Aww crap. I missed it. I would had participated but I guess I was too busy in Minecraft to care.
