Because the chance of our number being picked is still 14,000,000. The current averaged out lotto number is similar to the one Derren Brown used. This is because there are 6 numbers. Because we are human, we normally pick the numbers like this: 1-10 11-20 21-30 31-40 41-49 Derren Brown's numbers fall into that and so does the average for our numbers.
