I've heard worse ideas.
Don't be fooled into thinking we made the right decision by voting yes this time round, the majority of the people in this country were fooled into thinking that we would be stuck in a recession for ever if we voted no again.
And most people last time round most people thought we would have abortions and an EU military if we voted yes so i guess it worked out.
We'll see how it turned out in a few months I guess.
im afraid ill get conscripte now
yeah some idiots around my area were spreading that there'll be conscription since that's the way it is in europe
yeah some idiots around my area were spreading that there'll be conscription since that's the way it is in europe
They are indeed idiots.
It'll be interesting if the EU becomes a superstate at least.
It's already got the strongest economy.
What exactly is this "superstate" you're all ragging on about?
What exactly is this "superstate" you're all ragging on about?
Think the United States, but colossal.
As soon as EU law becomes truly transcendent, then that's what will happen.
Yes, and what are the problems we'll face from this "superstate"?
(I'm not being rhetorical here, I'd like to know)
Democracy is ridiculous. Voting twice for the same thing is ridiculous to the power of 2.
Can anybody explain to me what is good about this 'Lisbon-treaty?'

More arbitrary legislature (SEE LIMIT ON MP3-PLAYER VOLUME), increased spending, increased lobbying, less influence, less freedom, bigger government etc. etc.

And seriously, what the fuck is up with minimum wage, do you seriously think a higher minimum wage (or any at all) is going to help anyone? Here's a fact: employers are LIMITED by supply and demand. That means that minimum wage either forces them to hire less people or raise prices. If prices get higher, then minimum wage is completely useless... Unless, of course, you raise the minimum wage again, but I think you catch my drift by now.

Some of us don't want to be a cog. And the fact that Tony Blair could be the EU "President".
Reason enough to say no.

Tony Blair did far more good than bad.
I'm probably in a massive minority but I'd quite like to see an EU super-state.
Though to be honest I would also prefer to see all countries on earth absorbed into one MEGAULTRA state, and lose the need for countries. No more of this tribal bullshit.
On paper it looks good
Then you got the fucktarding manipulative and secretive corrupt "officials" who always try to get more power, more wealth, more control over every and anything without us knowing untill it's too late.
Look at communism, it's good in theory right? Then you had the goverment who took their might and shat all over it. Now think of that, but on global scale so that you can't have your own opinion.

He lead to the situation we are in currently.
I hope the Czech Republic still get to vote, its funny how only a few countries like Czech Republic and Ireland get to vote, you're lucky. Our governments such as England are not even allowed to vote, the government just decides what is good for us.
As I see it we probably don't get to. Our government apparently sucks on any international cock it sees, not caring about the population even in the slightest.
The same thing was with the USA's radar. There were fucking protests for whole months. The unofficial polls shown that like 80% people are against it, and the government still almost got it built (thankfully Obama stopped it from USA's side)

Well, but this kinda works in USA, so if people could stop being dicks (I know they won't lol), we could also get it working.

that made me lol
I don't really understand why people are afraid of a European super-state. Do we want to keep being divided and keep bickering between eachother? Just because it's a single state it doesn't mean you won't get to keep your national identity, just look at the U.S., every state in the U.S. has it's own identity (sure they are still part of the U.S., but you can see the difference between different states).
I don't under stand what the OP is about... I feel stupid when this happens.
