Best Egg Nog in the world hands down is... Farm Store motherfucking Egg Nog. I am lucky enough to live in Miami Florida to savor this stuff every year. This is the kind of stuff you down in shot glasses as the taste is amazing but too much at once will make you throw up. It's delicious yet nauseating at the same time! This blog has the right idea. http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/2009/12/farm-stores-egg-nog.html

My parents bought a ton of this 18% volume alcoholic eggnog, I drank a ton of it.
I drank about 7 liters of eggnog this holiday, and I started drinking some again today, right now actually, then I saw this thread. Awesome. oh yeah I forgot to mention, I got constipated cause of all that eggnog... :(
This is one of those wacky american things that I've never seen / eaten. Including corndogs , peanut butter & jam and peanut butter & chocolate. Seriously , who the fuck came up with this?
Eggnog was more than likely created in England [editline]10:19PM[/editline]
The origins, etymology, and even the ingredients used to make the original eggnog drink are debated. Eggnog, or a very similar drink, may have originated in East Anglia, England, though it may also have been developed from posset (a medieval European beverage made with hot milk). The "nog" part of its name may stem from the word "noggin", a Middle English term used to describe a small, wooden, carved mug used to serve alcohol.[1] Another name for this British drink was Egg Flip. Yet another story is that the term derived from the name "egg-and-grog", a common Colonial term used to describe rum. Eventually the term was shortened to "egg'n'grog", then "eggnog".[2] The ingredients for the drink were expensive, so it was popular mainly among the aristocracy. "You have to remember, the average Londoner rarely saw a glass of milk," says author and historian James Humes (To Humes It May Concern, July 1997). "There was no refrigeration, and the farms belonged to the big estates. Those who could get milk and eggs to make eggnog mixed it with brandy or Madeira or even sherry."[3] The drink crossed the Atlantic to the English colonies during the 18th century. Since brandy and wine were heavily taxed, rum from the Triangular Trade with the Caribbean was a cost-effective substitute. The inexpensive liquor, coupled with plentiful farm and dairy products, helped the drink become very popular in America.[4] When the supply of rum to the newly-founded United States was reduced as a consequence of the American Revolutionary War, Americans turned to domestic whiskey — and eventually bourbon in particular — as a substitute.
[editline]10:20PM[/editline] And I meant blatantly [editline]10:24PM[/editline] Great alternative to eggnog is Coquito, for those of you living in an area with a high concentration of Puerto Ricans. Being that I live in New York I get this shit every year and my god is it good. Basically a latin spin on your traditional Eggnog, it's made with rum, coconut milk, coconut cream, sweet condensed milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Also makes a great frozen treat in the summer sans the alcohol.
Never really had the opportunity to try it and I've been scared to go and get some because the thought of it having eggs in it sounds a bit wierd. [editline]10:34PM[/editline] Does it taste of egg?

I don't like it for some reason. It's alright in small quantities I guess
eggnog is fucking awesome but I always drink too much and wind up being sick :C [editline]12:16AM[/editline] milk is the shit dude
Milk is like god's semen. It's fucking amazing.

Have this stuff every year. We usually mix it with milk half and half so it lasts longer and it isn't as thick. Tastes like heaven.
The holidays are over cant find eggnog anywhere, does anyone know were they have eggnog all year round.
You'd find the non-alcoholic version in just about any store that also stocks flavored milk selections...
I've never had it.... :frown:
He's got 89 agrees. Do people in the UK not drink the nogg?
Eggnog, rum, FUCK YEAH
I bought a carton of it to introduce it to my siblings, but the ungrateful bastards were disgusted. I drank the whole thing to myself there and then.
