The music bashing MEGATHREAD, [Keeping things uncivil] - General

I hate pop and rap music pretty much only because it's more or less nothing but singing and a generic never-changing beat, occasionally with a touch of background noise. I don't really care about lyrics but how every song seems to be a love song kind of annoys me

most rock/metal etc uses the same riffs throughout a whole song I don't really see the difference between that and using the same beat.

what are you actually serious It's true that some black and death metal bands have hard to decipher vocals but anyway lyrics shouldn't be the only thing you care about. Often black metal is about the atmosphere it creates and that's done through the way the voice-not necessarily the lyrics- sound, as well as all other instruments. You shouldn't dismiss an entire genre just because the singer isn't crystal clear anyway Slipknot's lyrics can be heard perfectly.
