Bebop is very nice. I like the lunacy.
Jazz Fusion is the best.
Soulja Boy is the worst rapper of 2010:

He's been the worst rapper of every year he's been alive.
I can't stand electronic/techno/trance music. Just sounds like it doesn't have soul.
I can't stand when people call all electric music "techno" despite electronic music being a genre with tens of dozens of completely different sub-genres as a result of synthesizers having near infinite sound possibilities.
Most peoples depiction "techno" is basically this rubbish right here:

Though they stereotype is so much they assume everything electronic is under the banner of that song. Electronic music is huge and has wider spanning song limit than perhaps any other genre of music.
Some [sp]personal[/sp] actual examples of 'good' electronic music:

DJ Fresh - Gold Dust

Oh yeah. You think that song of his is bad. Check this. Skip to 30 seconds.

I think he's doing an impression of Stevie from Malcolm in the Middle. The way you know if it is a Soulja Boy song is when you hear "soulja" said randomly every 10 seconds.
metalcore is shit

Athiest are my favourite jazz band
I listened to Miles David and didn't like it. To be more specific, Miles in the Clouds.
i listened to blessthefall
i was about to put nails in my ears
i dun wanna hear fuckin generic chug chug metalcore
made by some shitty hack ass 24 year old dudes dressing like their 16 year old sisters
if you're a male band
and you are not black metal
kiss
or any other decent band that has lyrics involving death/what have you in the metal genre
and you are wearing makeup
more specifically eyeshadow and eyeliner
put down the instruments (or fucking computer)
AND GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE MUSIC INDUSTRY
You know what, I've forced myself to listen to deadmau5 for over an hour now and I have to say it kinda grows on you.
It's not my style, but some of his songs are pretty nicely done.
This one for instance is really repetitive, but you just have to treat the repetition the same way you treat repetition in Daft Punk. I still think hes pretty lame when playing live though, hes just too static :colbert:
you listen to horrible deadmau5

that song got my mom hooked on BFMV
lol i was meant to be seeing bmfv today because my friends got me a ticket to go with them because they know i'm into metal... :v:
Although trains to Glasgow are cancelled today because of snow and ice and stuff so we can't go
lucky
jk, they're not so bad.. they're just way overrated and generic.
they're not terrible but I wouldn't listen to them and they're the definition of generic pop metalcore band
exactly.
acceptable if you've just started getting into metal, don't know any better and just need somewhere to start, but if you progress any further into the genre at all you won't stick with them for very long.
It's annoying when people listen to stuff like that forever though and never bother progressing in music.
They're like generic nu metal bands
Entry level crap for people just getting into it, then you discover there are MUCH better bands pretty much everywhere.
I hate it when people refuse to go any further than the shitty "beginner" bands.
It's like they have potential to become legitimately interested and explore the rest of the music, but they just won't "open up" to it.
I barely see anyone who cares enough about music to discover new artists and genres, and not be bound by genre names.
They stick to one thing and label anything else as a stereotype like "metal is just screaming", "electronic music is just UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ", "country is just people singing about tractors and dogs", "pop is just money and sellouts" and so on.
Not everything is like that, especially if it's underground.
I've gotten more and more interested and open when it comes to music, and my love and knowledge of music grows each day.
i hate it when people label bands as "beginner bands"
music is based on taste you idiots, no such thing as a beginner band
i once heavily listened to rap and hip hop then all of a sudden went to core, then heavy metal, then sludge, the progressive and now i just listen to mainly everything. I have a hard time with rap now-a-days and most techno is shit until you dig deep (imo)

What they mean by beginner bands is if you're trying to introduce someone into a different genre. BFMV are a softcore metal band. So you'd start off with them, then show them All That Remains, then Anaal Nathrakh or Decapitated, the extreme end of the genre.

i know what they mean and i still think it's silly
for example, people who like dubstep. they might like meshuggah right at the beginning but hate anaal nathrakh. all in all it seems very silly to label to me.
meh hes not even worthy to be bestowed of that honour. He just plays repackaged house music.
What, like most nu metal bands?
BFMV is my local band, they got me into metal and a few of my friends know them personally, I don't listen to them so much any more but I still enjoy a lot of their songs.

The deadmau5 song I've posted is not horrible, its better than the majority of other songs he makes. Minimalism is probably what Deadmau5 does best.

If you don't like Miles Davis, then you don't like Jazz.
At least try out Kind of Blue and Bitches Brew first. Kind of Blue is like, the jazz album, and Biutches Brew is just awesome.
I know someone who tried to divulge into jazz with Kind of Blue. He was disappointed, but when he listened to Love Supreme by Coltrane it blew his mind and got into jazz a hell of a lot more. Then realising how awesome Miles Davis was.
That one's good too.
