Yeah I heard that he wasn't allowed to join the army because he's clinically insane, still sad to see someone homeless though.

First yes you can get kicked out for that and 2nd he still doesnt deserve being homeless.
That's horrible. I hope people help him out, he was one of my inspirations for growing a beard.

Good thing the health care system doesn't require massive amounts of money or an insurance policy, or else he'd still be on the street rather than being treated for his many and obvious mental disorders! The system works.

Nobody deserves to melt into a backwash of dirt brown brick and crumbling asphalt. Nobody deserves to be left to wander the streets as a pariah, with people avoiding their sight and pretending they don't exist. Nobody deserves to be treated like a stray dog, being forced to fish rotten meat out of alley trash cans and dumpsters.
But nobody gives a fuck. Nobody cares about the destitute or the poor or the mad, because if people did care about them, and people did look at them, their whole fucking view of the world where justice is done and the hard working get their due would collapse around their ears. They're no less poor than the homeless, they're just emotionally bankrupt instead.
It's kind of funny when you think about it.
