I always thought it'd be kinda heartwarming to see him win absolutely nothing until he's like 60 and then he's given a lifetime achievement Oscar.
Except you know that right now lifetime achievement Oscar is like a slap in the face to the actor or any creator that says "you tried so hard for your entire life but just not hard enough, here have this piece of metal already". Peter O'Toole got it after losing seven nominations and declined it saying he's still in the motherfucking game and to get that pathetic shit outta his face. And guess what: [sp]he got nominated one more time and lost anyway. but hey, it was still badass[/sp] The truth is that Leo deep down prolly doesn't even give a fuck about Oscars, he's too busy fucking Victoria's Secret models on the beach and saving the planet from global warming.
Anomalisa 10/10 How do you describe such a complex, subtle film? A relationship so real you've lived it yourself just by viewing. Character's so real, so life like, so broken in their own right you feel like they were people you've known personally, telling the story to you in real time. Simply one of the best films I've seen I would say. Terrifically voiced, so mesmerizing, animation, and all wrapped in such a brilliant script and amazing direction by Kaufman. I really liked Synecdoche, New York, but this is on a different existence to that film. Seeing something so personal is almost perverted.
Hateful 8 I give it a 8.5 out of 10 imo. I felt it had really strong dialogue and cinematography. Points off for the weird narration, bonus points for using music from The Thing effectively and having a very nice score all around. I heard more talk of Kurt Russel coming in, but Samuel L. Jackson stole the show in the best possible way imo. I liked all the performances in the movie for the most part.
I liked Leo in Django and Wolf of Wall Street but overall I think he's pretty overrated and don't think he's done anything worthy of an Oscar yet. Still looking forward to seeing The Revenant this Wednesday At the end of the day the Oscars are pretty much a crock of shit. Julia Roberts winning Best Actress over Ellen Burstyn? Fuck that noise
don't be hating on Leo. saying that kinda stuff is what gets people shanked, mate
don't be hating on Leo. saying that kinda stuff is what gets people shanked, mate
im gonna shank you for saying the revenant and sicario are boring
im gonna shank you for saying the revenant and sicario are boring
he's just a boy, he don't know no better.
Leo is good. he is critically underrated but beloved by all he is the peoples actor
Sicario Still awesome. If I had any complaints, its that there's not enough Jeffery Donovan.
im gonna shank you for saying the revenant and sicario are boring
different strokes for different folks don't get me wrong, the revenant is something I'm glad I watched, but I wouldn't watch it again.
Revenant 9/10 Mad mad respect to everyone involved. Plot progression seemed a bit aimless especially in the beginning of the last third but maaaaaaan. Gotta rewatch it. Most walked out during the sex scene, a few when they realized that all of the people have the same voice. Meanwhile I fucking loved it. 9/10 Loved it even more after I googled the hotels name. Macbeth (2015) - 7/10 This movie is so visually incredible, but make sure you've read or at least know the summary of the play before watching it because the Shakespearean language and super mumbly dialogue is actually incomprehensible at times

Spectre Very forgettable movie, just like Skyfall. Had it's moments but overall just okay-ish I think. 6/10

It's a handheld camera movie, but manages to set itself apart from the majority of crap that is associated with that shooting style. If you're up to explore something different that makes you keep guessing, this could be for you. 8/10
you saw that in a theater? i can't find it anywhere near me.
I had to go to a super indie theater in the middle of Philly to see it. Chances are the only way to watch it right now is in a major city
I watched The Revenant, and it was great. 9/10 I watched it in Imax, and the cinematography was astounding. They really took a chance filming using only natural light; however, the movie needed an intermission because, by the end of the movie my eyes were sore from absorbing the detail.
yesterday i rewatched inglorious basterds after quite a while subtitles didn't work but i pretty much remembered all the german lines so they didn't really detract anything from this viewing still a masterpiece in my eyes. i'm not gonna review it since it has been a milion of times and we all know the movie's value. it was the first qt film that i was able to watch from start to finish. i was always intrigued by tarantino's style but i didn't ever watch any of his movies so one night i tried to watch pulp fiction on my own. after half an hour, my mum found me and sent me straight to bed. i can't stress enough how much this movie means for me, how it shaped my cinemagratophic tastes as a kid and how it made me know one of my favourite actors, if not my favourite: him being christoph waltz for all these reasons, inglorious basterds is to this day my second favourite movie i've ever watched
Sylvester Stallone just got Golden Globe for his Rocky Balboa in Creed. Also standing ovation. Holy fuck.
That's because Rocky Balboa has the eye of the tiger
anyone feel like rami malek got robbed?
anyone feel like rami malek got robbed?
No, because literally everyone in his category deserved that award even more than him. Jon Hamm especially.
No, because literally everyone in his category deserved that award even more than him. Jon Hamm especially.
this hurts my soul is ray donovan really that great?
this hurts my soul is ray donovan really that great?
to be fair, it is a showtime series. shows not on cable tend to be better than shows on cable.
to be fair, it is a showtime series. shows not on cable tend to be better than shows on cable.
to be fair again though, there's a mountain of awful premium shows
to be fair again though, there's a mountain of awful premium shows
probably, i wouldn't know since i'm not subscribed to any of them.
this hurts my soul is ray donovan really that great?
While that doesn't really say much, it's Schreiber's acting magnum opus. Malek still has time.
Leo got another golden globe.
After that speech he made I'm pretty sure he's now at least considered for Nobel Peace Prize. Called it.
Best Actress In A Limited Series/TV movie: Lady Gaga, American Horror Story this is a joke surely
