Yeah that story is full of shit. more plot holes than a Micheal Bay movies :v:
Totally full of shit, I'm good friends with michael bay, he said that never happened
i can actually back up that michael bay being a huge douche bit, my sister's boyfriend used to do set sculpting, and worked on the transformers movies. apparently on the set of the third one, there was a stair banister that bay didn't like, so he went to the guy that just made copies of the moulds (way out of the chain of command, first person he should have gone to was my sister's bf), started cussing him out, and the dude was like a foot taller, an extra hundred pounds of beef and ex-mma fighter. he picked up michael bay by the throat and held him there for a bit, then put him down and packed his shit. officially, nobody "saw" it happen, which of course means that everyone in the vicinity knew what happened.
and then Albert Einstein came up and gave him a crisp $100 bill everyone stood up and started clapping, even the old religious ladies at the back
oh, you guys.
The Fifth Element - 7/10 Pretty weird but a fun movie
Gone Girl - 8/10 Enjoyed it a lot and I felt that it flowed really well in my opinion. I agree with YMS in that it didn't really feel like 2 hours. It's no Shrek, but it's still good.
The Fifth Element - 7/10 Pretty weird but a fun movie
I couldn't finish watching it
I couldn't finish watching it
I don't blame you. It's very much an acquired taste.
I thought the Fifth Element was great.
I don't blame you. It's very much an acquired taste.
no it isn't it's just a good movie, much like leon, and unlike new luc besson movies which are abysmal
Lolll
The Fifth Element isn't great, but it's pretty good. It ain't Blade Runner, but I don't think it was trying to be. I like a lot of the scenery and make-up a lot. The movie was definitely ambitious, but as dumb as it sounds, I find Milla really distracting. She's just Alice from the Resident Evil movies to me. (That's not a good thing)
Chris Tucker was also annoying. The Fifth Element was definitely a mixed bad, but i thought i was still good.
Chris Tucker was also annoying. The Fifth Element was definitely a mixed bad, but i thought i was still good.
a mixed bag of good things paired up with great things [editline]21st January 2016[/editline] fifth element is a 9/10 for me
no it isn't it's just a good movie, much like leon, and unlike new luc besson movies which are abysmal
I'm probably the only person in the world who doesn't love Leon as much as everyone else does
So the Suicide Squad trailer was fucking awful
Looks like they know the movie sucks so they're just riding off Margot Robbie being attractive since that seems to be the main focus of the trailer. That final shot of her bending over to steal something is just shameless. Also every single joke was cringey MySpace level zany badness
The Revenant: 7/19 Gripping, intense. Really didn't fuck about and still came out pretty surprised even though I'd already heard prior about the film and some of it's moments and their intensity. Interest waned at parts but I'd say overall I enjoyed it, wouldn't watch it again though. The Big Short: 7/10 Not really sure I have much to say about this one. It gave a decent insight into something I wasn't very aware of. Was also very fond of Carrell's role of Mark Baum and (personally) felt he did the role justice. The Hateful 8 :8/10 Absolutely loved it. Was a very Tarantino film from beginning to end and wasn't bored for a moment. Absolutely adored the costume design and casting choices, as well as the setting of the film and the... look of it? I'm not really sure what the word or terms I'm looking for here are but the general look of the film was very pretty to me (colours and such).

Deadpool just looks 100% unappealing [t]http://www.ew.com/sites/default/files/i/2015/12/13/ew-deadpool-poster.jpg[/t] Like who the fuck OK'd that poster + tagline combo? That's just repulsive and juvenile
I think you are overreacting.

Yeah, I mean, could be an awesome movie, but from what I've seen the humor is as you say, pretty juvinile and tasteless. Mainly shit, dick and butt jokes.
Yeah but I don't see how that poster is repulsive unless you are giant prude.
OK maybe not repulsive but eye-rollingly stupid
Yeah, I mean, could be an awesome movie, but from what I've seen the humor is as you say, pretty juvinile and tasteless. Not saying it's necessarily a bad thing, I mean my very limited knowledge of the comics seems to be that they are very similar, in tone and humor, to the movie. So that's a good thing I guess. I just don't find it appealing at all. [editline]21st January 2016[/editline] Inside Llewyn Davis 9/10 A great watch. Profoundly melancholic, with some great performances and some great soothing music. The Coen Brothers aren't amongst my favorite writers/directors, but they really nailed it with this one. Oscar Isaac might be my new favorite actor.
Inside Llewyn Davis is probably my favorite Coen brothers movie [editline]21st January 2016[/editline] I generally prefer their serious stuff to their comedy stuff but I'm still hype for Hail Caesar
The Revenant: 7/10 Very authentic in clothing, weapons, buildings and actions. Beautiful movie with convincing atmosphere and the OST is superb, but it's lacking what actually makes a movie great. And that's a good story. The story was just meh, although everything felt spot on. I'm guessing anyone who would actually find the story interesting could give the movie more points.
Inside Out Amazing concepts, bad execution. But the film gave me mixed emotions, so I'll give it that meta. Still, mixed opinion. [editline]21st January 2016[/editline] But I'll admit, the [sp]Forget it Jake, it's Cloud Town[/sp] joke was one of the best puns/references I saw in all of Pixar films, 10/10
i dont have a problem with poo and ass jokes i just have a problem with unfunny ones and deadpool looks really unfunny
