I know people shit all over this, but i was genuinely entertained by this. It's nowhere near being a classic, but i liked it.
Also
The Wild Bunch
The Wild Bunch is so good. It's weird, it's a western from 1969, but the way its action plays out and is directed makes it almost feel like it was made in the 80s or something.
Oscar nominated documentary "THE LOOK OF SILENCE" has been legally uploaded to YouTube

Go ahead, because it was great, it also has the greatest chance to win.
Before you watch this, do yourself a favor and watch The Act of Killing beforehand. It's by the same director and portrays the same events but from a different point of view and it's probably my favorite documentary of all time. The Act of Killing is on Netflix right now, try to watch the Director's Cut if you have the time. Both documentaries are absolutely phenomenal and watching them back to back is a profound, if not disturbing experience. Give yourself some space before giving it a shot.

The musical numbers were kinda forgettable. They were good, but I couldn't even hum back anything I heard last night for you if I tried.

magic dance is one of the greatest songs of all time you fucking pleb
Equilibrium - Not a bad movie, had some cool action scenes, it just didn't really do anything other films before it hadn't already done.
Dead Snow 2: Red vs Dead
fun movie that was better than the Dead Snow 1 because of its comedy. I'd say 7/10

Fear X - Good thriller from Refn. The ending was well done, [sp]reminded me of Lynch's work in some ways due to the ambiguity, although clues still exist.[/sp] The first half's supsense makes me curious about how a horror film by Refn would turn out.
Groundhog Day 8/10: I always enjoyed time reset concepts and it does explore what the average person would think of. Recommend it.
Enemy (Denis Villeneuve, 2013)
My reaction during the film: "Wow, this is awesome. So tense, I love it."
My reaction after the film: "What the fuck was that movie about?"
My reaction after reading up on the film: "This film is so fucking genius, holy shit."
My reaction after posting this review: "Am I part of the system for doing this? Am I contributing to the downfall of civilization?"
?/10
Ratings are irrelevant. This film is unbelievable.

This was my favorite find from that record shop I posted about earlier. Drive isn't a perfect movie, but I'll be damned if it doesn't look absolutely stunning in Bluray.
I picked up the Drive blu-ray recently but haven't watched it yet (the blu-ray that is, I've seen the movie plenty of times on DVD). I also printed out this custom sleeve for it because I love that poster.

I need to pick up this Bluray. I realise now, this is what I bought a PS4 for.
Ryan Gosling is dreamy too, but I don't start my Gosling collection off with Drive.
I am so glad I'm not alone in my man-crush on Ryan Gosling.

He only really convinced me in Drive to be honest. He's a decent actor though, most of his other movies don't really compare in my opinion.

Have to agree with you there. I feel like Only God Forgives could've been a worthy follow-up to that performance but it was too much style over any substance. Not seen the Big Short yet but a mate of mine said it was better named "The Big Shart" so I think I'll pass on it.
oshit its STARTING
it even has a cute little scorpion icon filling up with pink on the screen as its loading the dvd

so yea, bluray is pretty neat
welcome to 2011?

nah i didnt have it on bluray in 2011 :)
the difference isnt that huge tbh but its still enough to get me excited about it
the colors pop so much more though
yeah i know but this was an experience anyone with an internet connection or $15 could have had for 5 years now (and in general bluray terms like 10 years?)
im ashamed of myself tbh
tbh if you aren't using the chinese bootleg cover for your copy of drive you should reconsider your lifestyle

Is that the dude from Far Cry?
the hateful eight, this time NOT in 70mm
still a great experience but the 70mm presentation is still something else, something superb
after my second watch, i'm even more convinced that this is tarantino's third best (after reservoir dogs and jackie brown)
