Unfortunately no, watching that is what made me think of this other one. The more I think about it the more I think they shoot the Priest, but I could be way off. I thought it was Boondock Saints or something, but I'm pretty sure that's not it either.
No clue. Maybe some guys shoot a guy coming out of a confessional or something. It'll come to me eventually. It's right on the tip of my tongue,I can picture the cinematography but I can't pull a face out. I'm thinking it may have been a western, or at least something not in modern times.
john wick? v for vendetta? cavalry? no idea
Not sure if this is the right thread to ask, but I'm remembering a scene in a film in which there a shooting inside a church, maybe inside of a confessional booth, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was. Figured it would be worth a try to see if anyone remembers or knows of anything similar.
In Bruges, maybe. Could be Desperado or Once Upon a Time in Mexico.
I don't think so. But who knows, I'll update you guys if I figure it out.
Shanghai Noon?
So far the ones knocked out have been
-Boondock Saints
-John Wick
-Shanghai Noon
-In Bruges
-Desperado
-Once Upon a time in Mexico

I'm going to be super pissed if I'm thinking of a television show, but I'm pretty sure I'm not.
In a discussion about The Revenant you literally called him (the actor) autistic, so your criticism comes more from disliking the actor (who surprisingly does a good job separating his roles from his real life persona, unlike say Leo) than what he did in the picture. Similarly just like in The Revenant he stole every scene he was in, with having significantly less to work with (it's actor's job that reserved and calm character as Max can take as much spotlight as hyperactive Nux or Furiosa, even though he was the main character).
another presumption! i actually really like tom hardy. are you telling me i can't like autistic people?
Deadpool (2016)
Mediocre. Zuimzado has said everything that needs to be said, I think.
What I would like to talk about instead is the fucking terrible Russian dub. The actors they pick sound boring and uninspired, aside from the guy that dubbed TJ Miller. Yeah, he is still a saving grace of this movie, even overseas.
Sure, some dick jokes flow better in Russian (it's a much more swearing-colorful language), but holy hell is the localization atrocious. You're under a constant barrage of obscure actress names and location mentions no average viewer would understand, if any at all.
By the way, they added memes. Yeah, fine Russian memes.
3/10, the only thing that could possibly salvage this movie is a blowjob in the theater.
I had hopes, my friend. I had high hopes. I thought to myself "maybe this time they'll go for quality over quantity, maybe this time they'll use the humor to further enhance his tragic backstory, maybe they'll tell a story worth a damn".
Nope. Further thoughts from the MCU thread.
This is basically what my friend said about it after she was forced to sit through it. She summarised as "Reddit: The Movie".

Holy shit, they added memes here too.
There was a scene where Deadpool sprays blood on someone's face and he goes 'that's the money shot', which is a dumb porn movie joke.
But for some reason over here they subtitled it as 'that's gonna be a meme!'

Sin City? [sp]It's not like a shootout but a priest is shot[/sp]
Okay so
It ended up not being a movie. It was season 1 episode 1 of Hell on Wheels. :(

Anyone who thought it was going to be anything different that "AREN'T MEME'S FUNNY YOU GUISE!" was kinda stupid.

"No, it's just the marketing that's stupid, you don't understand."
I called it, but I guess it was better to remain hopeful after all. It's impossible to translate Deadpool to the big screen, period.
"No, it's just the marketing that's stupid, you don't understand."
dont forget "you just dont understand deadpool"
Okay so

I swear I was gonna suggest this, but didn't think there was any way you actually meant that.
and the movie delivered on it's premise, and fury road didn't?
i'd have been perfectly happy with it if the movie was called Furious Furiosa or something. But it was a Mad Max movie that put Max on the backburner. I have plenty of other complaints about the movie too, that's just the most obvious one.
It shouldn't matter if the movie's called Maddest Max or Furiosa's Electric Bugaloo Adventures, the main character of Amadeus is Antonio Salieri but I'm not gonna fault the movie for that am I? If a movie's good then a movie's good regardless of what its name is and Fury Road was good, maybe even great. Not Road Warrior great but still great.
Whiplash
Holy hell, that was one of the most stressful movies I've ever watched. The movie did an excellent job at making the viewer feel the same pressure as the main character. That was fucking awesome but I'm gonna need to recover for a long time before I could watch it again. 8/10

"That's not your boyfriends dick, quit blowing it so hard" caught me by complete surprise
Everything about J.K. Simmons's performance in that caught me by surprise. Considering most people know him for his comedy antics in the Raimi Spider-man movies, it's insane to see him play someone this vulgar, this brutal.
i was fucking terrified of him, my god
i was fucking terrified of him, my god
Easily one of the most memorable and well-written antagonist/villain in the last decade.
Easily one of the most memorable and well-written antagonist/villain in the last decade.
[sp]when that bald motherfucker told andrew he knew it was him and then announced they were playing a different song i actually said "holy shit" out loud[/sp]
to be fair, even if i loved whiplash i saw that coming very easily
and it still made me like fletcher ten times more
What I love about Whiplash is that [sp]it never gives a definitive statement on how Fletcher and the student ended up, if at the end of the day they respected each other or hated each other[/sp]
[sp]fletcher respected neyman and neyman still admired fletcher
you can see that by simmons' eyes and teller's look on his face in the last two shots[/sp]

if they had just adapted actual deadpool instead of the crappy stuff that got popular, it would be fine.
Jaws
9/10
Hell yes about everything in this movie.

the whole reason i'm faulting it was because the character wasn't very good.

I've heard this so many times about almost every appearance Deadpool makes, but honestly, what is the good stuff? Where does 'actual deadpool' appear?
I'm sure I remember a time where I liked the character, but he's been memes, low brow comedy and 'lol random' shit for just, so long now.
