The more I thought about Anomalisa after I saw it, the more I liked it. Give it time.
Well, like I said, a rewatch at some point is inevitable Charlie Kaufman's one of my favorite filmmakers ever and I've seen everything he's had a hand in several times, I just felt like Anomalisa was a bit more by the book than everything else he's done. It just felt a little more typical "sad indie movie" and I know he's capable of avoiding stereotypes like it, but that just adds to my theory that maybe it's just a huge middle finger to [sp]Lost in Translation or 500 Days of Summer or other bright-eyed indie rom coms where manic pixie dream girls just fall into someone's life.[/sp] Not to mention it would make sense, since Eternal Sunshine covered similar ground with Kate Winslet's character [editline]16th February 2016[/editline] I've also watched interviews with Charlie Kaufman who said his goal was to create films that behaved more like theater pieces, where you can see the same play with the same cast five different times and it would be different. I rewatched Synecdoche New York recently in anticipation of Anomalisa and I forgot how funny it was, Sammy's entire character is just this strange cosmic abomination of a person and I love it
Skullshitl Pretty good, we laughed for the most part, although the Russian dub is terrible.
It's called a taunt :v: Also spoiler tag your shit
A taunt that has no way to be effective, since [sp]the whole point of why he said it before is that Deadpool insisted on calling him Francis so torturing him and making him call him Ajax will show him who's boss around there. Now that he's free, he is just setting him up to say Francis (or spelling it out for him.) Did he actually expect anything else to happen?[/sp]
The fantastic four 2015. Pure fucking shit.
Zoolander 2 - Another case of seeing a movie, only because the one I wanted to see was sold out (Deadpool) I didn't expect a lot and I didn't get a whole lot from it either. The trailer showed 90% of the funny moments, and the rest of the jokes were terribly strung together. 6/10 - Throw it on in the background while you hangout with some friends.
I heard it was complete garbage
Donnie Darko 8/10 Very interesting, I was confused at the ending because it didn't seem to match what the rest of the plot wanted you to think, imo. If anyone would like to explain it to me, I wouldn't mind.
I heard it was complete garbage
It's not complete garbage, its just not funny.
Went out and watched Deadpool. Was actually pretty damn funny [sp] The Alien 3 and Colossus throwing up bits were fucking great.[/sp]
my favorite gag was [sp]the tiny hand[/sp]
i saw the raid 2 extremely good, it surpasses the first one in every aspect
Mississippi Burning, still a 10 outta 10. I was at that critical point that it's been so long since I've seen it that I had forgotten just enough for it to seem new again. Awesome. Also I had completely forgotten how incredible the soundtrack is. It brought the atmosphere together flawlessly, in a way that doesn't happen nearly as often as it should.

I really need to rewatch Mississippi Burning. Only seen it once and it was in a class with the lights off at that time of day right after lunch where I get tired no matter what I'm doing so I kept dozing off a bit even though I was enjoying the movie.
Andrzej Zulawski has died. Most of you are probably unfamiliar with his movies, but he directed one of the freakiest horror movies of all time: Possession. I need to rewatch it now.

He directed one of the best sci-fi films on the east of Iron Curtain, The Silver Globe Also, he discovered and boned Sophie Marceau when she was 19. You've gotta give him credit for that.
Possession is the fucking shit, one of the few horror movies to actually really get to me I'm glad I have a reason to rewatch it soon
couple films I saw that i had in the pipline: Sicario Terrific film. Benicio is dynamite and the score in this movie really builds that tension goodness. For some reason this movie reminds me of Zero Dark Thirty but ofc it's better and the cinematography is to die for. Some really inspired shots here that captures the light so well. This is a brutal movie and wholeheartedly recommended for fans of crime. I do have to say one thing tho, and that is that I prefer Traffic. To some that might seem lame but Traffic was raw. Both have Del Toro in it tho, and tbh watching them back to back won't be such a bad idea. La vita è bella (Life is Beautiful) aaaaaghghg right in the soul. Now there's some dilemmas people have had about this movie. And yes when it concluded I did have to think what I really wanted out of this movie. But when you grasp really what it is, it's totally about the father and his desperation to keep the innocence of childhood at bay in the midst of this horror. The Roberto performance is literally outstanding. It's the neo-Charlie Chaplin and it succeeds in all respects. From the get-go, you know "The Great Dictator"-esque satire will play a big part in this movie. It does kill you to watch but it is one of those films I regret I didn't see earlier, would have had a real great effect on me if I saw this as a kid. Instead I had to watch Schindler's List :'< I also want to say that the way this movie was made... is surreal. It being a 1997 that feels like it was made in the 50s is something I never expected at all. There's something about the style or flow in general that reminds me of cinema from the 40s and 50s. I'm no expert but this really hit home with me and thus is a rare time that I'll call a modern movie a masterpiece. :]
I grew up close to and went to high school in the city where they shot Life is Beautiful. the fact that I haven't watched the movie yet makes me feel a little guilty.
im getting sicario on bluray on friday and i cant remember the last time i was this excited to watch a movie
Re-Animator Found this on Netflix and figured I'd rewatch it. I can't believe when I first saw it I thought I wouldn't want to watch it again, but damn, it was a lot better this time around. I don't know what was going on last time, but I guess I wasn't in the mood for it.
re-animator owns
I saw reanimator at like 2am when I was 10 and home alone Boy, quite an experience it was
and as far as plot goes, Alien 3 ruins everything. I haven't seen Alien: Resurrection yet, but I'm sure it doesn't matter.
Alien 3 is bad but at least it's not Alien: Resurrection. Just remember that
guys why do you keep watching zoolander2
Zoolander was bad, Zoolander 2 looks just as bad if not worse.
Zoolander is kinda great tbh. Not gonna bother with the new one tho. Tropic Thunder will always be Ben Stiller's peak as an actor, writer and director- I don't see him topping it. I fuckin love that movie.
Tropic Thunder is the only good thing Ben Stiller did as an actor.
Zoolander was bad, Zoolander 2 looks just as bad if not worse.
Zoolander was OK.
