It's Such a Beautiful Day 9/10 it's weird and funny and horrifying and sad and it made me tell my mom I love her
Ant Man Meh/10. Somehow manages to be even more generic than any other Marvel movie I've watched. All the tension feels completely fake. Too many terrible bits of comedy as well. Comes across as boring, unfunny, and exceedingly slow. It's not terrible, it just lacks anything that would bring it above the level of complete mediocrity.
lemme get this straight there are 2 dragon tattoo movies within 2 years of each other hrmgngh??? [editline]d[/editline] do i watch both
I always kinda thought this as a kid, but as I get older, she angers me more and more. Especially with how hard [sp] her death affects Forrest, knowing that she probably didn't really care that much about him in the long run. [/sp]
i actually didn't feel like that at all. at least as a kid, i always got the impression that she [sp]knew how bad of an influence she was on him[/sp]
even the remake? :vs:
Well, the remake's not really a remake is it? It's another set of kids going to the same place and the same shit happens, but it doesn't really nullify or tread on the events of the originals. Well, no more than EDII fucks with ED1 and AOD fucks with 1 and 2. That being said, I love it. I love the alternate character dynamics and the fact that Eric is the dumbass who unleashes all the shit and gets his ass kicked throuought the whole movie. Like, he's kept alive until almost the end of the movie JUST so he can get his shit kicked in more. I love it. I really like the Evil Dead re-uh... The Evil Dead But The Other Time It Happened.
i still can't get over how much of a dick jenny was, and forrest just kept taking it
he was a cuck and he didn't even know it.
lemme get this straight there are 2 dragon tattoo movies within 2 years of each other hrmgngh??? [editline]d[/editline] do i watch both
I've only seen the American remake with Fincher, liked it enough
Death Race 2000 - Fun very 70sish scifi action movie. Whatever happened to all of the characters in dystopian films have gimmicks and stuff?
lemme get this straight there are 2 dragon tattoo movies within 2 years of each other hrmgngh??? [editline]d[/editline] do i watch both
swedish ones are way better
swedish ones are way better
theyre both based on thoroughly average and not super interesting stories but there was more craft to finchers version swedish was very by the numbers
Miracle Mile - The film's atmosphere was perfectly done. The visuals gave off a weird sort of haunting, but oddly slow in the frantic plot feel. The soundtrack was amazingly executed, as expected from Tangerine Dream. The only complaint I really have in the movie is [sp]the protagonists could have easily lived if they had actually had a sense of urgency. At times it felt almost like those horror movies where characters are being needlessly stupid. They in many scenes waited and took a semi-casual approach to extremely urgent events.[/sp]
Saving Private Ryan - it's hard to rate honestly, but it's very high up. Loved the scenes where people got deafened or experienced trauma and the audio was muted. No sparing on the gore either, good shit. Tearworthy moments too. Started taking adhd pills recently, and i actually managed to finish the movie in just 4 hours, that's probably a new record for me.
saving private ryan is one of those amazing movies you never want to watch ever again
Disney's: A Christmas Carroll is actually pretty good, save the cheesy action shots
As a fan of the original tale, this is my candidate for best adaption
saving private ryan is one of those amazing movies you never want to watch ever again
i feel like that with interstellar, it was amazing in the cinema, the pacing was perfect but when i wanted to watch it at home i remembered it took so long for stuff to start happening, it just doesn't work when you know what happens later on

Spotlight. About sexual exploitation in the RCC. Superb acting and dialogue, 9/10
I really wanted to see Spotlight but my theater stopped showing it the same day I bothered to try and buy tickets :/
just watched the ridiculous 6 on netflix and to be quite frank, it wasn't all that bad. It's probably one of the more half way decent films adam sandler has put out in a long time, now i'm not saying it's the greatest movie ever but its just one of those movies that is just good ole dumb fun. Now i don't know how you guys will take to it but all i'm saying is keep the expectations low for your viewing, don't wanna get a pitchfork up the ass for this mixed review.

just finished evil dead 2 no doubts, straight better movie from start to finish. it managed to take the elements i loved in the first one and incorporate them in an engaging plot. i really don't know what else to say. maybe a little bit less campy than the first one? i'm talking about the amount of gore that raimi starts throwing at you in evil dead 1 when the first girl gets possessed. i feel like that in 2, the gore is still there but the spotlight is more on ash's madness (which i still adored) anyways, loved every bit of it.

There goes Mr. Grim" it just feels wrong.
The Fifth Element - Really an interesting reaction to most other science fiction films at the time. Manages to create bright settings compared to the very dark settings a lot of other big scifi films at the time were creating. Wacky, but an an entertaining film.
Once upon a time in the west 8/10 The most relatable character in the movie for me was Morton. All he wanted to do was see the pacific one more time.
Moon - Damn that was really good, even if [sp]really sad.[/sp] Great hard-science fiction.
aaand se7en takes over oldboy as the most fucked up movie ive ever seen [sp]the way lust was killed is going to stay with me for awhile[/sp]
Se7en just makes me really sad that David Fincher hasn't directed a straight-up horror movie at this point
aaand se7en takes over oldboy as the most fucked up movie ive ever seen [sp]the way lust was killed is going to stay with me for awhile[/sp]
u havent seen many (any) fucked up moves have you
requiem for a dream, one flew over cuckoo's nest, chinatown, and the descent are probably the most terrifyingly depressing movies ive seen. lul also i dont think ive ever been more scared during a movie in my life when the first time you saw one of the [sp]mutants in the descent[/sp] lone survivor is another more recent movie i cant stand to watch anymore. just too much when it's so heavily based based on a true story anthony hopkins also gave off the creepiest presence ive ever felt in a movie prob in silence of the lambs [editline]d[/editline] i dunno if those were the most 'fucked up' movies ive seen per say but they were pretty unbelievably sad in the most intense way [editline]d[/editline]
saving private ryan is one of those amazing movies you never want to watch ever again
like the best war movie ever made so idk
