i'm sure wreck-it ralph was a life-changing experience for you dude
Don't sweat it. I always get dirty looks when I admit to people I really didn't like Frozen.
fuck frozen
i admit i have not seen frozen or wreck it ralph
mostly i don't get why everyone portrays elsa as a good role model for young girls but the other sister was way better, fought to get her sister back, and defeated the fuck out of the evil prince guy but no since she ran away she has real strength!
Wreck-It Ralph is excellent, Frozen is pretty good but I still don't understand how it got so dang popular
I watched Frozen with every intention of liking it but had to turn it off after like 10 minutes, it was so grating.
boy in stripped pyjamas 9/10
ahh yes, the classic 'i can only relate to the plight of the jews when i see an 'innocent nazi boy' die with them' movie [editline]14th December 2015[/editline]
i admit i have not seen frozen or wreck it ralph
dont bother with disney movies
dont bother with disney movies
There is a single Disney movie everyone should see: Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Why does it seem like I'm the only one who's ever seen it. It has the best ending too, god damn Nazis getting their asses kicked (literally) by suits of armor.
dont bother with disney movies
Can you please start elaborating on your opinions on various movies without making them sound like the Holy Gospel?
The Absent Minded Professor is a good Disney movie. (the original)
Can you please start elaborating on your opinions on various movies without making them sound like the Holy Gospel?
here's a hot tip for reading rusty's posts (or really, anyone's) the "in my opinion" is implied

I watched that movie countless times, mainly because of that scene.
We Are Still Here Any horror fans here should definetly check this one out, it's a pretty good, unfortunately overlooked, spooky house gore movie. It's sort of the conjuring meets evil dead (kinda) and a throwback to 70s cheesy and violent b movies. I was pleasantly surprised, although it's nothing to go crazy about. Acting and cinematography were great, it's really suspenseful and it managed to creep me out, which very few movies do.
Can you please start elaborating on your opinions on various movies without making them sound like the Holy Gospel?
they are a boring, very standard affair. especially pixar. i just dont find anything interesting about them. and generally people who go on and on about disney movies and pixar are generally the same people who go on about marvel movies too - the most boring, basic people in existence. they are cartoons with mild adult themes (so parents dont get bored), but mostly are meant to be enjoyed by little children. they are very basic and uninspired plot wise and theres just generally nothing interesting about them.
i really don't understand why you are judging people based on their taste in movies liking something that doesn't have a ton of depth or somethings thats popular doesn't make you stupid or boring
don't get me wrong - the older ones are a little better, and i do very much enjoy myself at disney land/world. but the movies themselves are really, like, nothing. [editline]14th December 2015[/editline]
i really don't understand why you are judging people based on their taste in movies liking something that doesn't have a ton of depth or somethings thats popular doesn't make you stupid or boring
ive never met a disney super fan that wasn't boring and basic, sorry stipulation: boring and basic to me. because as if for the 10,000,00th time, i have to keep saying 'in my opinion' before every word that comes out of my mouth, like im able to give an opinion that somehow isnt an opinion?
Mary Poppins is basically a perfect movie, Disney or not. And now Star Wars belongs to Disney, you can't discount them.
i do think star wars is a little basic and overrated - as big a phenomenon as it is. a perfect fit for disney. but i think you need to be a little basic to garner so much universal love - need a little bit of blandness so that it can be for everyone obviously theres some good shit there and it does a lot well. but its not a masterpiece
disney films are modern fables, or should be. i think those are the ones that rusty enjoys, the others are kinda cash-grabs. at least, i assume that's what rusty's logic here is.

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. - 8/10 "How's that for entertainment?" This was a crackin' good time! Fun, stylish, and snappy action-comedy. Charismatic performances, clever editing, and really great visual and sound design all come together for an exciting spy adventure. Some people may be a bit put off by the pace and style, but I find that personally I enjoy "style over substance" movies if the movie's style is well-executed.
I finally got to watch one of FP's most recommended films ever. Mulholland Drive (David Lynch, 2001) It's amazing. The most amazing thing however, is having made a film where the spectator knows how every single thing should be, but at all times doesn't actually know how they really are. And that, is just spectacular. It's a hell of a trip that bogged my mind while I was watching, and will surely keep bogging it in the future. 9/10 I didn't enjoy it like I would a 9/10. But it represents so much that it completely deserves it.

Creed - 9.5/10 Coming from having binge watched every single Rocky movie a couple weeks ago, this film fell straight into line with all the other films and brought a fresh new start to it. Focused a bit more on the actual sport than it did in Rocky but it did not take a single thing away from the film. The sparing use of the classic Rocky tunes really was great and it really hit home when [sp]Rocky revealed he had cancer due to my great uncle just recently passing from cancer[/sp] I really am looking forward to sequels and I really hope they do. This movie was almost a mirror to the first Rocky movie, which really helped it stand up (much like Rocky himself helping Don stand up in the film) but I hope as it progresses, it takes its own path.
yeah everyone seems to be saying Creed is good which surprises the hell outta me, frankly. i think i just had a bad vibe when i saw the trailer in the theater and it spoiled like everything
If you know who Rocky is from all the films and you know this is a reboot of sorts, there's nothing to spoil because you know exactly what's going to happen. It's still very enjoyable, none the less.
Eyes Wide Shut - Damn that was absolutely amazing. I really cannot say much more because damn, there is too much to say in a simple post.
forrest gump 10/10
Gattaca - Really good scifi film that managed to use the science fiction as an important facet of the development of the plot rather than a backdrop like other films in the genre often do. Really a great watch.
