Fuck, all anyone cares about in games are GRAPHICS. What are you guys complaining about now, the story? How is anyone supposed to please you guys, seriously? Anyhow, just FYI, Pandora is a MOON, not a planet, of the planet Polyphemus, which orbits around Alpha Centauri A.
I dislike how james is thinking its he's best. The only things I like are the facial expressions, and the environment, and that's about it. The story is way over used.
You realize this was written in 1995, before most of the current movies you know?
And why didn't the humans have any reinforcements? And how is it that the shuttle's explosion didn't hit the trees at all? It was so close, and the amount of explosives should have damaged the tree.
Because, their privately funded. It's a group of mercinaries hundreds of lightyears from home. They can't just pick up the phone and call their buds at home and say "Hey guys come out to Pandora so we can shoot these blue cat things".
And how is it that the humans, missed their targets more than half the time?
Ever shot a real gun?
The environment wasn't too exicting, Was hoping for more cooler animals. Should have looked at star wars, their planets were cooler, Pandora was simply a vast tropical planet. And that's about it.
You're daft.
dear idiot, you're an idiot
The plot was practically ripped off of Dances With Wolves. Not that I care, the movie was still awesome.
Fooking Navi
awesome cgi and story, bit long though. I also love the way that they had sex with their hair :D
Yeah it did rip off Dances with Wolves sort of. But I loved Dances with Wolves and I'm a Sci-Fi freak so who said that was a bad thing :smug:
Honestly, everyone was saying the movie was amazing, but I thought it was just, okay. Yes the CGI was fucking amazing, but the story didn't really drag me in. The plot was so predictable. They could have made it better if they had made the natives lose in my eyes. Like added way more shit at the start of the movie, and end it when they're mother tree gets blown the fuck up. I would have liked the movie more this way. 8/10
The story was a REALLY shitty environmental message. But who cares, people went there to see what $400,000,000 CGI looked like. I also hate brute forced CGI as well though, so count me in the hated this movie section. Ink's effects amazed me more than this.
I still think District 9 is MUCH better than Avatar.
Maybe because it isn't an incredibly shallow movie that constantly tries to wow you with neat graphics like some kind of cartoon/video game? Until the mech part, that was pretty stupid.
You're a dumbass. Somewhat decent CGI? "DOF and 'ailising' errors" as if you know what you're talking about? And pop in? I hope you're being sarcastic.
Why have we got an extra thread to argue about the same shit? End of the day it's incredible CGI, bad script/story.
Shitty dances with wolves remake with aliens.
Anyone else wonder what happened to the other Avatars? There's a whole bunch of them that just disappear.
avatar: the indian tribes related to aliens superior white man befriends indian, leads primitive indians
avatar: the indian tribes related to aliens superior white man befriends indian, leads primitive indians
In this movie they arent primitive.
Anyone else wonder what happened to the other Avatars? There's a whole bunch of them that just disappear.
I am guessing they are doing what they did in the beginning, when jake got attacked by the big monster thing, they are exploring pandora.
Pandora's atmosphere is a poisonous (to humans) brew of Nitrogen, Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide, Xenon, Ammonia, Methane and Hydrogen Cyanide. [editline]01:28PM[/editline] Bro, sorry to say, but look a this:
You can't just keep quoting shit from the wiki as if it's a viable argument. A good film shouldn't need a wiki for all the sad people willing enough to read through it all.
The story line was pretty damn predictable, but I still liked it. The CGI was jaw-dropping. Yeah the movie was worth my 14 bucks. About the humans not having reinforcements, that can be answered in a sequel. If they did have reinforcements then the movie would've been twice as long. Overall the movie was fucking incredible. Stop nitpicking.
holy fucking shit, you paid 14 dollars to see that, I paid a grand total of 6, thats including the popcorn and drink/
You can't just keep quoting shit from the wiki as if it's a viable argument. A good film shouldn't need a wiki for all the sad people willing enough to read through it all.
It works.
[img_thumb]http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/6840/avatarsucks.png[/img_thumb]
What you're supposed to see is either far into the screen or things popping out of the screen, I had the double vision too along with some other friends but one or two actually saw it properly so it was either our eyes or perhaps the glasses. I've seen a 3D short film before where I could actually see far in and things coming right up close to me so I blame the cinema I went to as it was generally quite shitty.
What do you guys think?
I think you suck :v:
I actually liked the story.
