Beats the shit out of man flu.
I know you'll probably be either numb or shitting yourself about now but you've just got to trust the doctors and not be too weirded out when they start poking around inside your head.
Good luck and hope to see you on the other side.

Best wishes man, hope for the best!
Have faith in your doctors and know that everybody's rooting for you, bud. I can't imagine what it would be like to have so much dumped on your lap so quickly, and I hope I never have to find out, but I commend you for the way you've handled this so far. Stay strong, man.
Oh man. Half way through the surgery start talking in German.
If you don't know German, put on a heavy Russian accent.
Since there's a chance you might lose the ability to speak, you might as well make the most of it while you still have it, eh?
Really though, good luck. If the doctors know what they're doing, it should all go fine.

I wouldn't do that, encase something does go wrong while he is speaking with an accent and that is all his brain remembers, and he can only speak in an accent for the rest of his life. That would be horrible.
How the fuck can people rate this funny? Fucking idiots...
good luck dude, you know we're with you.
Hope it goes well.
You show that brain who's boss OP
You march right in there, stamp your foot down, and tell it that you won't take its shit anymore
Kick it's ass

still we are hoping your surgery goes well :unsmith:
Let me get this straight, the operation has a small chance of getting rid of your ability to speak or understand people, and you're going to be awake.
You have my deepest sympathy OP.

I thought he said he wasn't going to be awake during the surgery? (If that's what you mean).
By the way, OP, I wish you the absolute BEST of luck tomorrow. :)
Best of luck OP. That's really all I can say. I can't possibly imagine the ordeal you're going through, or any of the symptoms you've done, so I'll sit here and offer up a prayer for you.

If you do have trouble speaking after the surgery don't read Facepunch as practice or you'll end up learning to speak like a ten year old.

ten-year-old*
I've never been knocked out for surgery, but people say you just wake back up like nothing happened
Yeah, if the anesthesia isn't too strong you jolt awake and are more or less fully coherent. When I had an intestinal biopsy they gave me what's basically elephant tranquilizer (ff - MJ abused it) and when I woke up it was like you said, like nothing happened.
You got in under control.
Best luck to you OP. I hope the surgery goes well.

Brain surgery can be preformed while the patient is still awake thanks to the brain having no pain nerves of its own.
As for the OP, how do you sleep at night? My guess is not at all, you must have the worst insomnia imaginable thanks to the fear that you might not live to see another day. In the meantime, listen to this song, it should cheer you up (it works on me, atleast);

Man, this made me sad.
Good luck, I hope everything will turn alright!
Good luck OP! Hope it goes well for you.

I think he can be 99% certain that he won't die during the operation, brain surgery is actually pretty safe
Do you have to shave your head OP or what
How big of a piece of skull do they need to remove to get in there
Oh man. You're currently living through my nightmare. Being a non-religious person, I am aware and afraid of my perishabillity. And there is not a scarier thought in the world to me than something threatening my very essence, the brain where synapses form my personality, memories, existence. And the thought of someone cuting shit up in there with a scalpel isn't a bit pacifying.
I really hope you come out of this well and unaffected.
I can hardly Imagine what you are going through. Get healthy, Brandon!
Best of luck.
My dad had the same surgery by the way.
If all goes well you should recover pretty quickly as well after the surgery.
