I didn't like it... To say the least it just looked like a religion/sci-fi/military fuck you movie.
I thought it was garbage, but I guess a few people must of liked it to it have made it to DVD.
are you kidding? the movie is fantastic
you're an idiot that's a stupid excuse

anyway the movie was good until the ending. the ending felt like it was slapped on at the last minute. like the ending to Brave New World
no it is one of the greatest endings in cinema
I fucking laughed at the amount of successful trolling in this thread.
Great movie, the ending was fantastic.
I literally screamed "FUCK YEA!!!!" when [sp] the crazy bitch got shot [/sp]
I jumped out of my seat and cheered when it happened. It was so fucking perfect and awesome, really one of the best moments in the film.
Ending was lol

you don't know what trolling is, stop going around and saying people are trolling because they have an unpopular opinion it doesn't make you look cool

most memorable ending of any film
The ending was dissapointing. I thought that after drawing the gun, he was going to go all badass and say "let's go for a walk". But no then they fucking pussy out and kill themselves. Morons. The rescue could be right out of sight - which it WAS - and they're not the least bit curious to go and see? If the alternative is fucking kill yourself there's no risk, the worst that can happen is you die anyway.
/rage
Great movie, GREAT ending - really put the cherry on top. It really came out of nowhere. It's nothing like any Hollywood made movie I've ever seen, and that is probably why you guys are bawing. You're used to the usual saccharine-sweet ending bullshit.

you completely missed the point
I thought it was complete and utter shit.
The premise of the film was AMAZING and had unbelievable potential to redefine the horror genre, I mean it's brutally simple [sp]There are Monsters in the Mist[/sp].
But instead got bogged down in shoving absolutely stupid demographics and messages portrayed through certain characters, that I think feel negated and really hurt this films true potential, I mean if it threw all of that stupid shit out of the window and tried to be more realistic and not so FUCKING STUPID it would have been a great film.
TL;DR
The basic plot and monster scenes were great but everything else simply pissed me off.
[editline]09:55AM[/editline]
Also is it just me or like all the characters dumb as fucking rocks. With the exception of the most realistic character, the guy with the gun.
"HAI GUIS LITTLE MARTY JUST GOT EATEN GIANT TENTACLE THAT CAME FROM TEH MIST! I DUNT THINK WE SHUD GO OUT IN THE MIST"
"OMG STFU U ON DRUGS DAWG YOU SEEIN SHIT DERE NUTHIN DERE"
*everyone dies*

User was banned for missing the point of the whole movie
I didn't like the ending.
But I did love when the religious bitch got shot.
I also found it really hard to watch them all stab the army guy, it actually made me feel ill.
I love this film.
Great ending.
Stephen King didn't make the ending for the movie, Frank Darabont did.
I have the book, in the end of the book they just leave an audio dairy and head out for the uncertain future.
They turn on the radio and hear two words.. Hartford and Hope. So they try set off on their journey.
I liked the movie. It shows would could really happen if a something like that even occurred. People will really like act like that in a distaster tragically. Thats why I carry a gun with me. Also the end was pretty memorable.
I love this movie. The spider things are creepy as fuck.

In the book some of them had as many as a dozen or so legs.
Also, as Publius said, Gubbinz96 missed the whole point of the story.
Sure, it's cool to have a movie about monsters in the mist, but characters need depth, and you have to think about what would happen in that sort of situation.
Also, this is probably the closest book-to-movie adaptation of any of King's works. The only major differences came at the ending. (Personally I prefered the ending in the book, but I'll live with the one the screenwriter/director chose).
Anyone else notice that David is painting a 'Dark Tower' poster when the storm hits at the beginning?
Goddamnit I hated the ending in this movie.
[editline]09:09PM[/editline]
Besides that it was good, though.
I loved the ending, it was highly ironic, but raged at the religious [sp](fucks)[/sp] people got away safe and happy.
Some one has to make endings like that you know! we can't have "Oh, they get away safe and sound and happy" in EVERY SINGLE MOVIE, that'd be stupid and boring as hell, which is why I hate Disney.
Besides that, was good. The religious conflict was really nice.
The acting was garbage in this movie. It was bad, and I thought it ruined the movie for me.
Action was ok. But the ending was pretty awesome.
I thought it was good. Not my favorite movie of all time, but I don't regret watching it or anything.
Am I the only one who found the ending funny in a way?
I just laughed when I saw it.
I mean, it was sad, but there was something pretty funny about it, you know?
I loved the movie.
The theatre erupted into cheers when the fanatic bitch got capped.
And the ending was great.
My 8 year old brother convinced me to let him see this movie with me. He was scared shitless of the crazy christian woman :v:
