I'd wait for the actual product reviews on launch. You never know.

if you buy one i will break into your house at night.
i will then make you eat the ipad piece by piece with a knife and fork until you choke to death on it.

Can you at least learn some decent grammar first?
Well if you're bleeding...

Sorry for the horribly executed joke. :frown:
Every possible answer summed up: No.
I say buy Ipod touch, use leftover money for a new comp or some shit.
I'd wait like 6 months or so at least to see if people start developing/releasing apps for it that catch your interest.
I think the fact that it runs iphone/itouch apps is more a bonus than anything else. It'll be a while until we start seeing some truly cool shit developed for the ipad itself, and that's when you'll really be able to tell if it's worth the investment or not.
As well as this, it seems likely that they'll release a new and infinitely better version about 2 months after the first generation ones come out, judging by everything else Apple has ever released. If you are going to get one you should probably leave it a bit.
iPads don't appeal to me really. If someone was like "here's a free iPad", I'd take it, but it's not something I'd actually want to spend money on.
If you took a shit on your hands, rubbed it all over your face and forced a smile, you'd know what it is to own an iPad
Just buy a piece of paper. It's cheaper and generally has all the same features.

You can't do origami with an iPad.
Buy the IPaperPad, it's lighter and almost has the same features

He has one, Read the OP.
Think of all the starving Africans you could buy with that money.

I am pretty sure sand is an open platform.
Sand.
Box.
Sandbox.
Why anyone would get an ipad when you can get a decent (excellent, if you know where to shop) laptop for the same amount is beyond me.
If you got the money. Go for it. But typically first gen products from Apple need some work. Wait til the second iteration comes out. It'll be cheaper and fix all the little issues the first version had.
At least wait for a couple batches to come out first if you really want it.
I got the iPod Touch when it came out, then later they release a better version (2nd gen). I'm suggesting you don't get it, and just wait for them to make more generations which will hopefully be better.
No. Just No.
Noppah
Yes.
This was posted from an iPad.
You can get a Motion tablet for about $150-200 on ebay, used and in like new condition. Why wouldn't you get that? It's got a 40 gig drive, a pen :D, and WinXP.

That's why I haven't bought a pico projector yet.
no, buy 4 iphones and glue them together instead
Instead go out and buy an iPod Touch, cheaper and easier to use, if you really need it. Otherwise, go buy something else.
