Oldboy is probably already suggested.
I really liked Battle Royale, go see that one.
Audition, I'm a Cyborg, but that's Okay, Vengeance Trilogy (including Oldboy, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Lady Vengeance) Versus, Sky High, Suicide Club, Three Extremes (three stories, last one is some fucked up shit!) and obviously Battle Royale.
I not stupid is dumb. Only singaporeans can understand it.
Ninja Love 3:The Last Rape
"Gwoemul - "Monster"

Hmm, true.
Anything by Takashi Miike is incredible he's a fantastic director.
I've looked him up on Wiki and it says "He has directed over seventy theatrical, video, and television productions since his debut in 1991. In the years 2001 and 2002 alone, Miike is credited with directing fifteen productions."
And his list is really huge, some of the movies in there were already suggested, but which are especially good?
Takashi Miike did a Masters of Horror episode(Showtime series) called "Imprint". It was extreme that even an American pay cable channel like Showtime wouldn't show it.
It's like a summary of everything he does in one hour, highly recommended.
Two movies that get high marks from others didn't really work for me. Oldboy and Tale of Two Sisters. Oldboy because the 'answer' was pretty lame I thought, although the implications were mind blowing. Sisters because I thought it was too frickin' boring for too long, it took too long to get to the point. It was beautiful to look at though. Watching that movie was like taking out a really hot chick. She makes you spend all night, and all your money, on her and then gives you a five minute handjob at the end- not worth it.
Any more suggestions? I'm interested in obscure Asian horror movies now.

"The Host"
It's not really obscure, but it's definitely one of the best.

i wanted to post this too originally, but then i considered the social-cultural aspects of this film and realised that only the people in singapore can understand and enjoy it fully. People unfamiliar to the culture of the small country (especially the vast differences in academic structure) may not even understand the main plot.
i once watched a movie called serina fucks like a ninja on redtube
it was ok
