can we talk about UK a-levels here or are they not equivalent to AP exams?
Psyche and Euro represent! Fuck Econ though, fuck it.
Calc A/B (Basically a joke considering the ridiculous curve)
Bio (The curriculum has a lot of shit in it but the college board practice test was easy)
Lang (It's english)
American History (Shouldn't be too bad)
They're APs, meaning they don't really count for much academically speaking, most colleges accept 4s, i'm much more concerned about taking the Bio and Math 2 SAT II because those scores actually matter
Taking AP Micro/Macro Economics.
Will probably get a 2 in mirco and a 4 in marco.
(fuck labor markets/mrp)

I bet I'll get a lower score in macro. Apathy started to kick in halfway through macro
sorry, but when i see people say stuff like getting 2000+ on the SAT is "okay", it kinda sounds a bit elitist.
nothing against you or anything, it's just that I've just seen enough of that while i was browsing college confidential
I don't mean to sound pretentious or anything. I have no idea what my friends got or anything, or what a "good" score is. I don't have any extra curriculars and my parents don't make very much money, so I was banking on a stellar score to help me out with aid and all that. The college I was looking at required a 2200 for a half-paid scholarship, and it wasn't necessarily a "prestigious" school.
The SAT is a joke anyway though, I don't really see how it's an indicator of "college preparedness" as all of the math is stuff that I learned pre-10th grade and the reading is regurgitated vocab and short stories that everyone starts doing in 3rd grade around here. It's really arbitrary, I think.

I seriously cannot grasp Micro at all. Macro speaks to me though
I have gotten a 5 on every AP exam that I've taken before, which includes Human Geography as a freshman, World History as a sophomore, US History, European history, and English Lang. as a junior, and this year I will be taking Physics C, Calculus BC, English Lit., Psychology, Economics, Government, and German. Wish me luck :(
Good luck on Physics. That test impossible.
in all honesty, AP classes are useless, from my experience, most colleges don't accept them as full credit to classes espeacially for somethings like math and history, or they set their acceptance level to a 4 or 5 which is much harder to get than a 2 or 3, given the choice between college credit classes in highschool or AP classes in highschool, take the one for college credit, i skipped all my english classes because i took college composition my senior year, while people taking the AP exam only got credit for 1 english class or didn't get the needed score
Good luck on Physics. That test impossible.
Last year 50.4% of people got a 5 on the Physics test, and 20% got a 4. It's not impossible.
good luck on the SATs and ACTs,
also if you get a low score, that doesn't mean your stupid, just means you arent good at the test, ive known straight A students who get like a 20 on it, while straight D students get like a near perfect score on it, its a cruel determiner of one's fate, but dont worry, most schools these days take your composit or your highest scores
Good luck on Physics. That test impossible.
The fucking class is impossible. Many teachers of AP classes curve the tests because you only need to get a 70ish percent to get a 5 on the exam, however, my teacher never curved any of the tests, which I regularly got anywhere from a 65-75 on, my lowest being 62 and my highest being 90.
And this is coming from someone who left AP European History and AP US History with a 97 and 99 average in those classes respectively.

Yeah I don't know if I believe that unless you post your source or something

~30% of physics students got a 5 according to this. I was looking forward to taking physics as a senior but my counselor was yet again a moron and I didn't get placed in any science class senior year. I'll have 5 math credits but only 3 science credits because why not.
I don't know how I'd have done in the AP Calculus AB test. I understand the concepts of differentiation and integration very well but some of the more derived techniques and problems are tougher for me.
Has anybody here taken the AP AB Calculus exam?
I'm taking it this year and, while I'm competent in the fields of tangent lines, I feel like I'm just gonna get screwed.
Granted, it doesn't really matter to me since I'm a senior who has already been accepted to a college and doesn't plan on really studying math all that much, but I would still like to do well for the sake of my pride.
So, any tips? Is it as hard as I think it is or am I just thinking about it too much? Also, how much should I study for it?

scroll down and click on score distribution for 2012. 50% of people got a 5, or a 4.
Holy shit, that's ridiculous! On the BC exam 50% of people got a 5 as well. That's not what I expected at all.
In addition, only 6% of people got a 5 on the AP World History exam lmao. Must be a lot of people who shouldn't have taken it who decided to take it and didn't do well.
I got 5s on chem and US history last year, this year I'm taking calc AB, stats, macro econ, and US gov... probably going to get 5s on them, but I could get a couple 4s if I get unlucky on the questions. After somehow getting a 5 on US history when my test average in the class was somewhere around a 75, I really think the scale makes them easy.
I had a world history practice exam yesterday. The multiple choice part was easy as hell, but then we got to the essays. Out of the two hours, the DBQ took me, like, an hour and a half, so I had fifteen minutes to finish the other two. :v:
Note to self, start with the compare/contrast.
currently in 6 ap classes, im not taking any, I took two last year, psych and english, got a 4 on psych, so to the psych cool-cats out there, don't worry its not that hard.
If i wasnt joining the military i would probably take the Chem, Bio, Stats,Gov,Macro, and Eng.
But fuck that, im done with this AP bullshit, as far as i am concern they feel kind of like a scam, the classes stopped being challenging pretty quickly, and the way my school charges for the test and how much they profit from it is abysmal. Getting threats from teachers because you're not signed up for a test is crap, and speaks tons about the culture in these AP classes.

There's a lot of schools that make it mandatory to take AP tests because it makes the school look better, yet they dont even offer that class. Also for AP World, it's a freshman class at many schools and freshman aren't used to the rigorous testing environment.
Just did a practice test on Micro resource markets.
I'm fucked.
I did a practice econ test yesterday and got 85% of the questions correct. I think it's safe to say I'm heading for a 5 on that one for sure.
Taking US Gov, Art History, Physics B, English Language, and Calculus BC.
Quintuple boned.
I got a 42 on my ACT and am currently enrolled in 15 AP classes.

How's your social life?
I enjoy the actual class I have to take before the AP test rather than the actual AP test or what I can do with it after high school. Generally at my schools anyway, AP classes doesn't usually have the fuckwits of normal classes and have pretty cool people and teachers are usually nicer to you in exchange for the course load they assign you.
I just find it amusing how people come in here to brag about standardized test scores. I'm making fun of the posts that have zero discussion about the test and literally just post a score.
