Has anyone taken Human Geography last year or whenever? What should I study hardest?
I believe that's around a 4 on the test. I know for a majority of them, 50% and above's a 4 and 60-70% is a 5.
ok.. that actually makes me feel better. I'm so used to getting A's, then this 65% throws me for a fucking loop. Got one more day of MC to review, then its nothing but FRQ's until the test
Has anyone taken Human Geography last year or whenever? What should I study hardest?
If AP human Geography is the same as Bio(What I did last year) they change every year, picking random things from the curriculum. If you ask your teacher she might be able to give you specifics but basically the whole course is a big prep for what could be on the exam, or not.
Why and how do you guys take so many AP courses? At my high school there weren't a bunch offered but they were basically designed for you to take one or two of them max, almost nobody took more than that.
Because people want free credit? which in reality isn't really free, and isn't a guarantee. Also some people just prefer the culture/kids that are around AP classes. And some just want a challenge
Because people want free credit? which in reality isn't really free, and isn't a guarantee. Also some people just prefer the culture/kids that are around AP classes. And some just want a challenge
I took an AP because I ran out of other courses in the subject which I really enjoy (Bio) but wouldn't be able to study outside high school, but people here seem to have a list of 5 APs they are taking which seems way overboard to me. Especially since we were told not to do so many, 2 or 3 was the max for most people to even consider(most signed up for 3 and dropped all the way to 1), and the girl this year I know doing 3 of them has been way overloaded most of the year. I can only imagine what it is like trying to prepare for all these exams which could have anything on them.
Well AP Physics AP US History AP Language and Composition with SAT 2 weeks after my last AP test, and ACT a week after SAT. Then I'm done! until next year :c
This year I've got Psych, English Lit, Stat, and Biology. Confident that I'll get at least a 4 on all of them except Lit. Despite doing well on past AP tests, English really isn't my thing and I've gotten really lazy senior year and i haven't really read any of the books I'll have to write about, so I'm pretty sure I'll get a 2. I only need at least a 3 to get some credits at my future college though, so hopefully I can do at least that well.
I took a single AP class in high school and didn't even take the test for it. I feel so deprived. Dunno how I managed to rank in the top 3 with only honors classes.
^ If you did stuff with Series and polar integrals, it's BC. Otherwise it's AB
Alright, it's AB then, so I have 3 AP's during finals week, gonna be great.
Dunno if anyone else was in IB but I had to take both IB and AP tests during my junior/senior years, which ran at around the same time, so for about a week I had at least 2 3-hour long tests a day. My school provides these tests for free which is awesome, came into college with like 45 credits (120 total needed to graduate). AP physics C was very very difficult.
AP Psych AP World History AP Chemistry ... :suicide: God Chem and Psych on the same day, I already know I am going to freak the fuck out over the chem exam and get like a 1 or 2. I just hope I don't fuck up on the Psych exam. I don't give a fuck about world history because my school put me in it (along with every student) and the teacher is a complete bitch who doesn't teach very well. Her method of teaching is "Do a chapter a night and the next day I will shove worksheets down your throats for 90 minutes."
Computer Science A and United States History. [editline]1st May 2013[/editline]
Grid world... Oh god Gridworld.
That motherfucker. I mean I'm not even remotely worried for it but that shit is laughable.
Computer Science A
Let me know if its hard. I was debating on taking that class, but decided against it since its Java
Let me know if its hard. I was debating on taking that class, but decided against it since its Java
The class is piss easy, but the test is somewhat challenging (I got a 4)
Did the AP classes in your schools have mark requirements to get in? Most of our courses were interest based, unless the class was super full whoever wanted to be there could be there, except for AP Psych which kicked me out after I signed up because my GPA wasn't high enough. I tried to challenge the decision but they said it was an outside requirement, not one they set up or could change. (except AP Psych was the only one in the school with this) Since I was very interested in Psych and studied a first year text book from the local university on my own time over the summer before hand, I have to say I was pretty pissed off... and I'm still bitter. Just curious how hard they were bullshitting me so they wouldn't have to deal with me still arguing it.

My school offers like 20 different AP courses, and over 180 out of 300 kids in my graduating class are in some form of an AP class. Theres a few who take only one or two, than there are lifers who take 6 like me, which are the majority i believe. And to answer your question earlier about the course load, you would think they would be intense, at first it can be sort of daunting if you just jump in like i did without 2 years of pre-ap like a lot of people i know, but you get use to it A LOT. I mean you don't hear college students complaining about the course work after they've been doing it for awhile, you just get use to it. And AP courses aren't that hard, less homework compared to the normal courses because you're not micro-managed, and the teachers tend to teach it like a college class, where most if not all of your grades come from tests or papers.
This year I have English Lit Comp, Calculus BC, Physics B, Biology, and US Government
AP Biology and Literature. I'm so fucked it's unbelievable. We're watching fucking MOVIES IN AP BIO CLASS. What the actual fuck.
Anybody taking Latin? Futuor sicut canis a certamine hoc.
I wish I would have taken AP History classes. I was rocking a 105% in US, around a 99% in World and I have a 95% in Government/Global Econ.
If anybody needs help with AP Computer Science drop me a PM. I was the only kid who took that shit in high school as a self study. Had to take the test in a room by myself with a teacher looking at me the whole time. I got the 5, and I still think I have a firm grasp on BoxBug and GridWorld and all that stuff for the case study (unless they changed it)

This Year: -AP US History -AP Psychology -Science Research course (3 year research counted as an AP...it's not fun at all) Next Year: -AP Government -AP European History -AP Environment -AP Language -Science Research Fun times, eh?

YOUR RUINING THIS FOR US ALL. Also, I think statistics is going to mess up my 4-in-a-row 5 streak. I took a practice test and the approximate thought process that went through my head was "How do I find a confidence interval? what does P hat even mean? what do variables do? what are numbers? Aaaaaahhhhhhh!"
Taking Gov & Politics + Lang & Composition this year. Last year I got a whopping 2 on US history after I found out that pneumonia is in fact a good excuse and they could have rescheduled me. Oh well. I was going to take calculus too, but I chickened out on signup day.
Had my IB English HL paper 1 today which went better than expected. Going to be taking the paper 2 tomorrow and after that a week of continuous IB/AP testing.
Had my IB English HL paper 1 today which went better than expected. I'd be lucky if I get a 4 as my final score.
AP Language and Composition + AP U.S. History in the next couple of weeks. It's going to be quite a ride but once it's done, it's done. More worried about AP Lang. since I am not fantastic with essays.
Did 5 and 5 on AP calculus AB and chemistry last year... Ends up university of Toronto (engineering) didn't accept APs.
