[QUOTE=butre;48412154]idk half the American AR parts (particularly bolt carriers) don't hold up. I'd hate to see what kind of butchery China introduces.

colt is jamming their way to jam town and FN makes squishy squishy fleshlight pistols
melt your ar-15 and take my hand to board the BCM bandwagon
[QUOTE=PrusseLusken;48412538]This thread isn't the same without the paranoid schizophrenic north American gun owners who think everyone is out to get them :)[/QUOTE]
hilary clinton can come and fucking take it, molan fucking labe
FN makes the best AR barrels on the market bcm is lame

I really wanted to post a big 3777x1696 DD logo in img tags but maybe that would be a tad overboard.
Prusse, do you have any 12.7x108 rounds in your collection?
I happened to find a box at a gun show in the US and I was totally shocked, never seen any in the US before.

Turning 21 soon, really wanna make my first sbr. But I can't tell if I want to get a CZ Evo and sbr that or make a 10.5in AR. I can't tell if having a semi auto SMG would be more fun/practical over having a carbine in a rifle caliber

Honestly, I'd get a Yugo PAP pistol and SBR that because:
They are cheaper than the CZ EVO, and are actually available.
AK mags are dirt cheap and available whereas the EVO mags are neither.
Better terminal ballistics out of 7.62x39 in a 10" barrel than 9mm in an 8" barrel. or 5.56 in either length.
You can get cheap ammo in 5.56, 9mm and 7.62x39 all for about the same price, all around 20 cpr
The SBR AR is more preferable in that you can swap the uppers and run any barrel length you want, and it has the most accessories available of the three, while the CZ EVO has the least.
Terminal ballistics in a 10" 5.56 AR are crap, unless you switch to .300blk and then ammo is more costly.
An SBR pistol carbine makes more sense than an SBR intermediate carbine, generally speaking. Pistol rounds are generally at home in shorter barrels.
With a AR-15 SBR, you're just getting the gimmick of a shorter barrel and worse performance. With a PCC SBR, you're getting the benefit of actually being able to use sub-gun style pistols in a way that's not completely counter-intuitive.
Speaking of futuristic guns I think the Chippa Rhino looks like something out of Blade Runner. It has a Mataeba feeling to it too, like GiTs too.

FN actually makes the best ARs for the price. LMT is better, but significantly more expensive. LMT with FN barrel is OP as fuck.

I've always wanted a MK 18 Mod 0 clone tho...
So the Miroku O/U that's 'my' gun when my brother and I go shooting clays started playing up, the safety spring was so worn out that the recoil from firing knocked the safety back on every shot, but more alarmingly it was popping open occasionally after firing. We traded it in at a gunshop and bought this beauty to replace it:
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9988278/1100.jpg[/t]
We took it out today to see how well it worked, and it kind of didn't. We shot about 80 clays with it failing to feed and stovepiping for over half of those. We thought it might just need breaking in after being sat in a gunstore for god knows how long, but it didn't get much better.
We got it back to the car and gave it a good clean (though it wasn't really all that dirty to begin with), then my brother decided to try installing the extra o-ring for the gas system that the guy at the gunstore told him was completely unnessecary. I took it over to the first stand, loaded it up, then fired 12 shots in a row with no malfunctions whatsoever.
Thanks, gunstore guy. Great advice.

If I had boatloads of dosh, cool would trump practical every time; I don't think that's the case for either of us.
I can't stand it, I'm gonna take my 77/357 out tomorrow. Definitely going to post pics.
Tried to get a cheap little 40 on cheaper than dirt but theyd only ship to oklahoma anyone know about cali and pistols?
[QUOTE=PrusseLusken;48417731]did-u-no: chiappa and fiocchi are pronounced "kiappah" and "fiokki", not "schiappa" and "fioschi"?
interesting factoid because no clerk at the LGS can get it right

Still always say "Fee-Oh-Chee" because that's how it looks. Don't think I've ever seen Chiappa though, so that one doesn't much matter.

True that. The AK idea is growing on me. I could finally make a 74U, but I x39 doesn't really lose power out of a short barrel, I think a PAP would be a good idea.

Well considering it and the Mateba have the same designer that makes sense.
The Rhino is definitely on my list of guns I want.
Anyway, does anyone recommend any good magazine carriers for IWB? My bodyguard mags are tiny as fuck and they jab me in the side with the kydex holder I'm using now but I'd like to carry spare mags since, you know, six rounds a piece isn't much.

Looks like something out of Deus Ex.
I'll take 50. My platoon needs something that isn't an M16A2.

My Palmetto State Armory AR15 that I built has an FN barrel. It's pretty fucking accurate.

A true modern terror on the battlefield.
I'll take five and load it with Tulla 7.62s just to say I did.
I accidentally bought a Mag-Guts kit for a S&W Shield when I needed one for my S&W Bodyguard.
Anyone want to buy it off me? It squeezes an extra round into the magazine. It turns a 7 round magazine into an 8 round mag or an 8 round mag into a 9 round mag. No extension, just a spring kit. They're spoken pretty highly of.
So, I'm legitimately curious because I was thinking about this the other day
Would something like this be possible to do?

I imagine you would have to change the rear trunion to a standard side folder one, but if it was possible, it would make an awesome little not-SBR.
