anyone here into lockpicking? I figure if anyone on facepunch is, it's gotta be one of you guys. firearms and prepping go hand in hand, and lockpicking is a good skill for preppers [t]http://imgkk.com/i/3k6d.jpg[/t][t]http://imgkk.com/i/egxb.jpg[/t] a buddy gave me this Sesamee, and this fucker took me nearly 10 minutes to get open. I dissect it and find that it's not a 5 pinner, but a 6 pinner, with the last pin riding on the point at the end of the key, and that it's got threaded chambers in both the core and the bible, varying spring tensions, 4 serrated key pins and one T (why a t? what the fuck), 3 of the deepest cut spools I've ever seen, an inverted spool, a fucking screw acting as a T pin, and a standard out of a master just to make those spools even more annoying
Hey, I mess with picks from time to time, I got a decent set from Red Team Tools back when they were part of CORE Group. But seriously, as far as prepper skills are concerned, lockpicking is really not very useful. They're for surreptitious entry without leaving signs of access, two factors that probably aren't both present in a SHTF situation. Most doors aren't very tough, and if even that much noise is a concern you'd be better off getting a pick gun. Or failing that, just a rake will get you through most doors. I find lockpicking entertaining as a hobby but it's really questionable as a prepper skill.
And yeah I'm a redneck piece of shit :v: At least the flag isn't usually that crooked, it got blown off to the side when i spread out the blanket and stuck to the blinds due to static.
Ironically, my Confederate flag is covering up my gun hanger. I got a gun case, so I put my old airsofts on the gun hanger, and put my flag over it. Who made your Mosin, is it a Tula or a Izhevsk?
It's an all-matching Izzy. I think this rifle was issued, because it's got two marks from the armorer on it. It would have only one if it hadn't been.
Apex Gun Parts got in a few UMP40 kits. They look damn sexy.
What do you even do with that?
Have to find a USC and sort of cobble it together.
Have to find a USC and sort of cobble it together.
That's what really sucks. The USC starts at around $1500, then another grand for that parts kit... For another $500, you can buy one that's already been converted and registered as an SBR...
i got an ares armor nitride bcg and i shot it about 10 times before the extractor went to shit and the finish started coming off almost aint worth selling, maybe some metallurgist can melt it into a coffee mug
Going to start the process of getting a suppressor in the next month or so. I'm going the gun trust route since I want to shave a few months off of the wait, and I'm only 20. Should I make my own using Quicken's stuff, go through Silencershop's process, or use a local lawyer?
The gun trust kind of scares me because it seems like a loophole that could be closed at any moment. e: I got a response from the ATF about the shoulder stock. That's as direct and simple as I've ever heard from them. :v: I'm gonna print this and keep it with the stock.

Swap out that foregrip for a quad rail man.
$200 below MSRP. Great deal!
Built my PSA AR15 with "tactical" parts for about that.
I want to build another AR, but a traditional A1 style build. Royal Tiger Imports often has parts kits.
I want to build another AR, but a traditional A1 style build. Royal Tiger Imports often has parts kits.
Mine (Seen a few pages back) is an M4 build.

I kinda want an M14.
I saw a Springfield Armory M1A for sale at academy, it was like 1200 or around that. I want it so badly..
Hey FP! I just wanted to post my new and first gun! I decided to save up my money for a while and get my first handgun. I've always wanted this as a kid and I am proud to say that I am now an owner of an HK USP Tactical. Here's a picture! Here's a video too! I know my shooting posture/aim isn't great. But I wasn't really worried about it because I was dumb enough to shoot without any hearing protection... So the first shot made my ears ring, and I was in a ton of pain. I could barely hear the other shots!
That made your ears hurt outdoors? I shot a .45 1911 in a concrete basement (horrible idea don't ever do this). I only heard ringing and only ringing for about 10 minutes, but it didn't hurt.

Left ear was ringing for a day or two.
From what I hear, .40 is a lot louder than a 9mm and a 45. I have no idea though, I've only shot a firearm 2 or 3 times. The first two times I had hearing protection.
I shot 4 rounds out of a 22 revolver before I had to put on ears, and I was outside. My brother called be a bitch but I'd rather be a bitch than deaf. The only guns i can shoot without earpro is .22 out of a rifle.
I'm the same way, it happened to me with a .22 revolver and after one shot i handed it off and went and got my plugs. My brother called be a bitch but I'd rather be a bitch than deaf.
I thought I was already going deaf. I have one perforated eardrum and years playing in a loud band without earplugs. But that one shot I took in the video felt like someone shoved a pencil right in my eardrum. My ears hurt for 3 days and they recently just stopped leaking this clear shit. Probably should see a doctor?
