Does anyone do cerakoting/duracoating anywhere in Europe?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/yvHO0Ax.jpg?1[/t] I got a thing yesterday! [t]http://i.imgur.com/a8NpMv5.jpg?1[/t] I wonder what this means. So, from researching last night, it looks like my SKS was manufactured about mid-1956, and was supposedly built in the first factory that opened in China had all of Tula's SKS manufacturing equipment and was supervised by the Soviets. Mine has no Chinese characters next to the SN, and it's formatted as F1234 /26\ so hooray I think I got a good one!
The K98 got bought by someone else in my group, feck
you realize I live in Norway and these priced are after taxes and import fees+sellers adjustment, right? if i was to get a semi auto it would be even more expensive [editline]18th October 2015[/editline] and I specifically want a compact cylinder choke shotgun for slug use, so don't tell me to get a 28" barrel 870.. no mossberg 590/a1s here either i would really rather get a benelli nova tactical but NOBODY sells it
Sorry I did not realize you were from Norway. I was not paying attention. Sorry man, in us you can get these for like 300. Which is why I was kinda like what kinda ship sell these for almost 800.

More than likely klp is the initials of a previous owner. Just sayin'. Last time I mentioned a Mossberg, he told me that it was over $800 for one due to importation and the dealers. So SPX at $650 in Norway is equivalent to the Stevens 320 pump shotgun for $200 like here in the states in terms of price.

I'm not sure of what a living wage and cost of goods there is and such, but current exchange rate puts 800 krone at about $98 USD? That's less than what we pay for them here.
Guys. Help. My brother in law is offering to trade my Bulgarian Makarov for his Enfield in this picture: [t]http://i.imgur.com/UImSh61.jpg[/t] WHAT DO?? Like... Optimistic for Enfield or Heart for Makarov.
bulgarian macarovs are 330$ right now on classicfirearms.com. Im no SMLE expert but im pretty sure its worth more than that.
Yeah, I haven't even found another No.4 with a stock of similar condition and quality. I desperately want it now.
Well the Liberals won a majority, which means that it's basically guaranteed that sometime in the next 4 years they get to govern that they're going to fuck gun owners.
Bought a marlin model 60 today, will post pics tomorrow.
Took the Scorpion to the range yesterday, accurate as fuck even without a stock or sigbrace, and seriously fun. Only issue is the ambisafety has left a bruise on my hand. Gonna have to buy the ambi-safety-removal-cap-thing from CZ soon. [editline]20th October 2015[/editline] I made a firearms channel on the FP slack if you guys wanna join

Alright so here's the counteroffer I was given... $50 + Makarov for the Enfield. It's also a Savage Enfield with all matching serial numbers.

Makarovs are seriously awesome, they're really good pistols and surprisingly accurate since they have a fixed barrel, but your Enfield is worth more and like you said, you haven't seen one in as good a condition as its in. Makarovs are up to about $350 depending on the manufacturer, but Enfields are pushing $500 in some areas now. Stick with the enfield and buy a new mak in cosmoline down the road.
Right, I'm going to gather some funds, and get the Enfield.
Just realized you have the mak and you're trading for the enfield, my b. Yea do it. Makarovs are cheap and plentiful, good enfields not so much.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/dl1ZSZ1.jpg?1[/t] I dunno if I've posted this here before but I found it again in my drawer - a handbook for using the M1 helmet liner, printed in the late 50s, depicting a US infantryman with an FN FAL. Really shows what a last minute decision the M16 was.
I have found a Mossberg 930 Watchdog Talo edition for $500. Is this a deal or a steal? It's brand new from the dealer.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/ZwHz7JU.jpg[/t] Took a family (sans Mauser and lever actions) photo yesterday!

I believe according to my research (and UncleJimemma) it's a 1956 Sino-Soviet. Just got it Saturday!
With the way the sun is shining on it, the metal almost looks devoid of bluing.
