Yes. Haven't QD's fallen out of vogue for now?
I love them. Much better than traditional slings.
qd sling mounts just stopped being a fad, they're still pretty handy but not every build ever is being made with them
Thinking about purchasing a case of 7.62x39 yugo, anyone have experiences with this particular ammo? Will be using it in my AMD65, don't care about corrosion since I clean my gun a lot.

It's good ammo. If it comes on stripper clips, can I have the clips?
Anyone know how good the civilain Suomi SMGs are? Guy has one up for trade including 2 drums and a stick mag.
PSA time. I was cleaning my CZ today and as I was inserting the slide stop, I didn't double check to make sure that it was seated correctly. I racked my slide back and it flew forward, crashing into my laptop screen. Totally trashed it and now I have to order a new screen.
So remember kids: always check your slide stops and don't clean your weapons in front of expensive electronics.
I'm kind of regretting not picking up a PPS-43 for $200 at the gun show. Oh well. :v:

Good, hot, accurate ammo in berdan primed brass. Smells funny too.
The 1120rd crates have the stripper clips in 40rd boxes, while the 1260 do not and come in 15rd boxes.
I don't understand why everyone says Ballistol smells terrible. I can hardly smell it at all.
Now i'm cleaning my rifles like a real stabsgefreiter.

Most if not all Soviet/Chinese/Com-block weapons use steel cased ammunition.

Yugoslav M67 is brass cased, I bought a crate; there is however steel cased M67, I believe SGA Ammo had some last month, not common though.

I can't remember the company that made the reproductions, but early models had this issue where you would pull the trigger and the gun wouldn't stop firing till the mag was dry. It was fixed pretty quick but if you buy it, check the SN range and call the manufacturer to see if it was fixed.
How much does he want for it? A suomi is on my list of guns-to-buy, but they're a little tough to find for a decent price. IIRC Centerfiresystems had them with 2 drums, a stick mag, and a sling for like $300 or $400. I wouldn't pay more than $500 for one though.
hoppes smells like bananas

With the 2 drums and stick mag, around $600. That's a no go then. Not worth it at all.

offer him 5, see what happens. I'd pay 5 for one as long as its not a garage build. As far as I know, the company that was producing them for cheap doesn't make them anymore, so the only ones on the market are used or garage builds.
Welp decided to order the 1120 case of Yugo surplus on stripper clips, also bought a stripper clip speed loader, a Bakelite magazine, and a steel 40 rounder, as well as a cheap Chinese AK chest rig because I had an extra $20.
Going to be a fun time next time I go out West of Utah Lake.
If anyone here has ever got any of their guns stolen, keep an eye on this case.
http://www.rawstory.com/2015/10/south-carolina-man-arrested-with-almost-10000-stolen-guns/
The guy was hoarding approx. 10,000 fucking guns, most of which were apparently stolen.
I was half hoping it was the asshole who swiped my Enfield. Oh well.
Two of my co-workers were supposed to go to the range with me today. I went with a buddy in my car, one of my co-workers was going to pick the other up. Well that one was ready to go, by my other co-worker was too busy killing chickens all day, so she never made it, and my other one waited for her, so neither of them showed up. I gave them both shit at the store meeting this evening.
Either way, I learned that my dad's A5 doesn't cycle light (1oz or less) target load even on the "light loads" setting, but it'll cycle 1|1/8oz fine.

I was up at Utah lake a couple months ago, and it was so shallow I was able to ride a horse a half mile into the lake before it got deep enough to get up to my ass. Pretty cool place.

Buzzword alert
I guess some 20 year old idiots were playing around with a gun, it went off and hit someone in the leg, and they bled to death. And of course the cops found a car full of pot. A population of 200k isnt big enough for this shit to be happening so often.
I just did the dime test on my C93. It turns out that putting a dime in the cocking tube fixed the issue with the charging handle. Hello $200 smithing bill to fix the tube and $150 worth of shipping.
It's a water cooled, bench rest gun in 300 Ackley Improved

Looks pretty practical to me, a cheap $40 way to add a more ergonomic grip and a rail system to a traditional 1911. Three quarters of all handguns for sale are half polymer anyways.

Well, I think I got my boss and his wife beyond hooked. In the last three weeks he's bought a Remington AR-15, a Remington 527 for his wife, and just bought a Smith and Wesson M&P AR-15 tonight. He's put almost two thousand rounds in three weeks down range. :v:
