Also an "upgrade guide" for the EVO: http://www.recoilweb.com/cz-scorpion-evo-3-s1-upgrade-buyers-guide-71717.html
Haha I actually found that article last week and added it to my bookmarks, along with a few other pieces I want (right side safety delete, pistol buffer tube adapter, etc)
I would love to get my hands on one just to see if I like it. A SBR is something I would also like but I don't know what platform I would end up buying.
I want an EVO so bad and they're pretty cheap
I'm left to wonder if the EVO is a pistol or a rifle in Canada. I hope a pistol, because unlike you we don't have laws against putting stocks on pistols, but pistols get to have 10 round mags, whereas rifles only get 5, and the thing's restricted no matter if it's a rifle or a pistol because of barrel length, so it can only be shot at the range either way.

Decided on the EVO because I've always wanted a 9mm subgun.

Then you can put a stock on it.
-I'm an asshole-
I placed an order for a GP100 through him and cancelled it the next day because I wasn't about to drop $750 for something that I really didn't need.
I don't understand? Did he not tell you the correct price or something?
-I'm an asshole-
I got buyer's remorse. I was between semesters in college and forgot that I needed money more than a gun. I just had him place the order from his supplier, I didn't actually put any money down on it.
Yea if I were the owner I'd be pissed too, not ban you from the store for life but I'd be reluctant to special order you anything ever again. If he already placed the order for the gun and paid for it, he's basically got extra inventory he doesn't need and can't immediately sell. It's a pretty big dick move to have a store special order you something and then cancel it the next day.

You have to understand that the dude can't just go doing that. Commit to your decisions unless it's an emergency.
I've had a run in with a gun store owner similar to that. I placed an order for a GP100 through him and cancelled it the next day because I wasn't about to drop $750 for something that I really didn't need. He banned me from his store for life. It's not like I care all that much, it was just that his shop was conveniently close to my place. Guy was a con artist asshole too, he overcharged for ammo (such as charging $35 per 20 for 6.5x55, exact same box on SGAmmo was $19), and tried to discourage me from buying ammo online in bulk by saying the shipping costs were almost as expensive as the ammo. He's the only gun store for 20 miles, so that's why he's such a dickface.
dont place an order if you dont actually want the gun?? hes probably sick of college kids flaking out on him after specifically ordering products and clogging up his inventory, i dont blame him in the least
So I did a thing today
My new noisemaker: Also, wtf is this blasphemy?
Cool grip, looked into it and ima get one for my 1911.
hoooray more AK's that US civilians can't buy and Russian military won't buy! [editline]28th October 2015[/editline] looks more like a cheap 3d render rather than an actual "new" AK

Because it is a 3D render: http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2015/10/27/potd-ak-15-not-a-real-gun-but-i-wish-it-was/

Theres roughly 6 trillion AK74 magazines on the planet, and a couple in space, no way in hell anyone would bother designing a new one.

If it had a long forend similar to the Magpul Zhukov I'd consider getting one if they were available.
I don't know what to think about it. I like it, and I don't. It's like a spess rifle and yet it's not a spess rifle. Also no bayonet lug, 0/10 would not operate with.
my favorite feature is that it doesn't have a magazine release
The grip looks like they took it off of a NERF gun or used a lost ATI grip.
So here's my next project gun. It's an Early 90's Sig P220 in .45. Our shop picked up a bunch of these as police tradeins and we couldn't sell this one for obvious reasons, so I nabbed it up for a VERY good price. I've got the frame stripped down for cerakote and plan on doing the slide tomorrow at the shop before I need to work. I'm thinking of doing it Barrett Bronze but with a bit of crimson in there to kinda give it the vibe of the spartan finish on other sig guns. Then it's new night sights, g10 grips, and an SRT along with lighter main springs to make for a nice little shooter. Looks like someone splashed vinegar all over it.
Was that blued at one point? Looks like someone splashed vinegar all over it.
The frames are aluminum alloy, so it was anodized. More than likely they used simple green or some other strong base cleaner to try and clean it only to strip some of the anodizing.
Reminds me of the wear on my grandfather's revolver, which he used to carry in a shoulder holster.
haha funny, my grandpa has essentially the same gun, the lesser known Colt Cobra, also 38. spl and near identical, I think it's the civi model as opposed to those issued to detectives or something.
My desire for a milsurp rifle has increased dramatically. I'm talking to a gut about getting his K31. If all goes well, I'll have another rifle in my collection soon.
