I've actually never heard of it before, but it looks like it's a lot of joy to shoot and pretty easy to control.

Also, interesting pistol for auction:

"The bore is almost centered in the barrel... it's a nice touch."
Given the quality of the piece, it's a nice luxury for the traveling tourist.

Looks like its %200 Enfield, there is no way it's not with all those stamps on it.
Does anyone know some good, reliable little 9mm or .380 truck guns? Just looking for something to toss in my truck whenever I'm going through shady areas and I have to worry about my truck being broken into.
The TP9 from Century or a SCCY are good cheap guns that can take a beating.
Anything from Bersa also works.
Well. Shit.
I went to my local academy outdoors (the biggest gun / ammo store around) and bought 4 cases of Rio Shot #8 for a whoping 6.50$ a box!
I need serious help. I just dumped roughly 260$ on ammo.
Only help you need is a buddy to shoot that ammo with, DPK.
Ammo reviews because I know Cam loves his Gold Dot

Any UK gun owners around here? I'm starting to seriously consider joining a club and getting a rifle license if I can find any ranges around here that aren't .22 only.
I had a look around on a couple of the places people sell guns in the UK, I found an M44 for £200 and a K31 for £295. Those are the two guns I'm most interested in actually getting, and those seem like good prices.
Of course, the price of the license, club membership, ammo, and a gun safe still need to be considered, but it seems a lot less difficult than I was expecting. If my brother ends up getting a safe for his shotgun then I may be able to store any guns I buy over at his house, if that's allowed.
I know in the UK you need to buy the safe beforehand and justify why you want each rifle on your license, and can only own up to 5.
So do you guys buy from cheaper than dirt still? Because I just bought 3 P226 mags there last night for $22. The whole website is insanely cheap now and I guess I don't have morals because I'm gonna buy from where ever its cheapest.

Aparrently 'target shooting' is a valid reason to own a rifle, so I'll need to join a club.
I can't even think of five weapons I'd want to own that are legal over here. I'd be happy with just a K31, an M44, or both.

You can get one of those weird lever-action AR-15s that are legal in the UK.
I can, but I really don't want one of those. Those are weird as fuck.

You could own an SVD, but as far as I know it has to be a straight pull with the gas system not working.

Actually, Australia is a bit better than the UK, no limits on number of guns (UK limits number of rifles) and pistols are still legal. The only thing the UK has over it is semi-auto shotguns are still legal and so are semi-auto .22s.

Sorry, I've seen a lot of propaganda in the media that tells me its almost impossible for an aussie to get one, and there are ultra tight restrictions.
I would think that Canada mostly being modeled after britian would see the UK with less strict gun laws and seeing as suppressors are legal in the UK but not australia.
The UK can have pump and semi shotguns. We can't have those here.

That is incredibly fucking awesome. Now sell it to me, exactly like that, in 5.56.

Can't import weapons that have no sporting purpose.
Nevermind that congress has no authority to pass such laws, but whaaatever.

I think about this quite often in the shower. The ATF is entirely duplicitous. Their background check is run through an FBI system, the FBI also investigates the use of firearms and explosives in crimes. Alcohol and tobacco should be regulated by the FDA for legal stuff and DEA for illegal. They're slow as hell, the very example of an inefficient government bureaucracy. They are limited to 2500 personnel in the US, but haven't even managed to fill their ranks to that number. If I were President, I would dismantle them and pass the responsibilities on to the above mentioned agencies. And I'd remove the sporting clause bullshit.
I thought the sporting close bullshit didn't apply to rimfire firearms? That's how that European made 22lr SGT44 clone got in?

I think basically all rimfire weapons are considered basically to have a sporting purpose. I was saying the standard 5.56 G36 can't be imported because it has no sporting purpose.
It is why so many companies choose to construct firearms domestically in the US. While it pleases me that we have a manufacturing market that is so well protected legally, I imagine it would also be served by simply taxing imported firearms so as to level the playing field. You might wind up paying 2 grand for a G36, but at least you could get one.
It won't happen. It's in the interests of both the gun grabbers and the domestic gun manufacturers to not allow imports.

Pump-action might be kind of neat, but If the lever-action ones someone else suggested are indicative of the prices of AR-15s over here then those are at least four times as expensive as the rifles I'm actually interested in. I really doubt I'd be able to get any of the parts that I'd want to convert a lever or pump-action AR-15 into an A1 or A2 clone (if they'd even fit or if modifying them is legal), so it really doesn't seem worth it.
Besides, why pay upwards of £1000 for a handicapped AR-15 when I could pay around £300 for one of these beauties?
