Woop, SAPOL have approved by PTA for my lever-action shotgun. I probably won't be able to pick it up today as I have an assignment to get done, but I should have it tomorrow.
I'm kind of surprised because I had heard SAPOL were simply refusing to approve the PTAs.
So not even magpul could save my phone from me throwing it against the wall, I knew I had damaged my screen from throwing it once and then I shattered it after removing the case. But I didn't know my iPhone actually bent so a new screen can't be installed..
fuuuuuuuck.
Also on topic because Magpul.

It's meant to protect against everyday drops, not whipping it into a wall.
I use Magpul cases on every phone I've ever had. Iphone that is. Never cracked or damaged my phone even when I drop it as often as I do. I think they're great.
We honed and polished the chamber good tonight on my KSG. Before when we put spent shells into the chamber it was so tight you had to force them all the way down to seat them and to get them out you had to use a screwdriver and leverage it against the barrel.
Now they slide in easy, cheap shit and decent stuff alike. And they extract good. When I got back I put spent shells into my chamber, closed the action and tried to eject them and they were so tight they locked up my shotgun until I used my palm to slap the slide back and throw them out. Now it's nice and easy.
I'll go shoot it tomorrow and see how it works. I think we're good. I also noticed that my feeding ramp had it's edge missing, like something had chipped it off. Research tells me it happened due to my shells getting stuck and how much force I had to exert on the slide-bars to get it to eject which made them skim the edge of the feeding ramps and chip them. But it's a cosmetic issue, doesn't effect feeding. I can buy a replacement ramp cheap enough and I have to take that part apart anyway to install an extended buttpad so I might as well do both at once.
I've used an Otterbox ever since it saved my S4 from falling 4 feet onto concrete, a fate that had surprisingly not shattered my iPhone 3GS's screen, but that broke the vibrator.
It's rather funny to demonstrate the durability of the Otterbox by taking my S6 and just dropping it. When I bought the S6, I did this with my S4 at the cell shop as a demonstration of why I was not buying a phone without an Otterbox and the sales person just about shat himself. "I get it, but PLEASE don't ever do that again!" he said, but you bet he's gonna tell that story in the future as a sales pitch for the Otterbox as an add-on.

Nah I know, it's my fault. I just didn't realize the phone was bent until the Apple Store showed me. The I was upset with myself.

Decided to pick it up today anyway because I wasn't getting anywhere with my assignment.

I bet that lever action is actually a lot of fun. Wasn't the Aussie government in the process of banning lever actions after some journalist ran a report on them chock full of buzz words?

Not for lack of trying.
The single Liberal Democrats senator promised to back the government in a whole heap of legislation if they didn't ban it.

The lever action is rather heavy. The only comparison I have is the action on a little .22lr lever so I don't know how it compares. I kind of want to get a butt-plate like that have on the FN MAG with the shoulder rest thing. If you don't have it really firm against your shoulder it will slip.

When i worked at best buy in customer service, we had this wierd thing where if one person dropped their phone either accidentally, demonstration, or otherwise, everyone else standing around would just whip out their phones and toss them on the ground. Noboby ever talked about it, it just caught on. Happened at east 6 times, absolutely funny to watch. Even with small slide on cases, ive never damaged a phone in a drop, and i drop them a lot.

One more gun fixed. Honing and Polishing the chamber did wonders. 100% reliable ejection with any shell type or brand. Winchester Universal cheap shit, Federal Target Loads, High-Brass/Steel buckshot, 3-inch Winchester X and 00 Buck "Military" among others.
The only issue I have now is that I don't rack it hard enough sometimes. I gotta practice I guess. But now everything ejects at least.
It's kind of ridiculous I have to hone and polish the chamber of my brand new out of the box $1,000 shotgun straight from the factory. Like, what the fuck is that?

Shit son ever since I played MGSV I've wanted urban polygonal camo on my rifle. Where did you get it done?
I second that question? One thing I definitely want to do to my gun is get the thing painted, but I have no clue what pattern I want. Just something other than black.
After firing full power magnums out of my GP100 over the weekend, I feel like I should have gotten a 357 Blackhawk instead. The recoil isn't bad, just that it doesn't feel right. Shooting full power 44s in my Super Blackhawk feels better for comparison.

You can add plenty of color to your weapon without painting it if you've got a quad rail using colored furniture and rail covers.
True. I'm just too poor right now for new accessories, :v:
I do need some rail covers though, and I don't know how much I really want a foregrip, oddly enough.
I wish my magpul furniture came OD or FDE instead of black. Black furniture, on a black AR looks fucking bad.

But it matches?
I'd love to have a Black rifle with OD furniture. Agreed. I can't do Black-on-black rifles, either.
I just realized the 100 rounds of shotgun shells I just bought is 20GA when I wanted 12GA.
I'm such a fuck up. God damn.
Did you buy them loose or smth? European manufacturers make it pretty clear on the box
Try getting rid of it at the shotgun range near you
They usually have the caliber/guage/whatever tucked away somewhere on the box.
Just try getting a round-count from anyone though.

Go on a gun forum and offer a 1:1 trade of 20ga for 12ga.
What's a decent cheaper 9mm that I can use for conceal carry?
So I have a knife problem, I know this is firearms buuuuut. I just ordered a new Cold Steel Recon 1, the new Coyote Brown model with the new CTS-XHP steel.
Really excited to see how it stands up to AUS 8A.
