Help me out guys
MSAR AUG with original 1.5x "donut of death" scope with 4 mags for $1400 plus shipping
Or
Steyr AUG with 3 mags, no sights for $1500, no shipping
What would you pick?
I'd grab the Steyr. Reports of issues with the polymer and mag feeding with the MSAR versions. I don't even think MSAR makes them anymore.
Everything says I should get the Steyr I just want that scope so bad
There's nothing wrong with the integrated scope on the A1, it does the job at 1.5 mag. You'll need an armorers key to zero it if it's not done already.
FAMAE coming to the US:

Hope they are a bit cheaper than the average SIG rifle.
Hope they are a bit cheaper than the average SIG rifle.
Let's hope they actually work compared to the average US SIG rifle...

If their Canadian prices are any indication, no. the FAMAE SG542 is like $2700 here.
How much were SIGs before the ban?
Might be getting a job at my local gun range :v:
How much were SIGs before the ban?
Well the SIG PE90 was about the same price, $2700-$3200. The Chilean knockoffs cost just as much as the real thing, except we can't really get SIG-made SG542s, either SIG don't make civvie ones or nobody's got 'em, and now the PE90 (Classic Green) is in legal limbo, so I guess we get what we can get.
Hell, their 9mm subguns run $2000. I don't know why you'd want to spend $2000 on a 5-round restricted rifle that can barely shoot 100m.
Hopefully, FAMAE puts some good competition out in the American market.
I'm just gonna bite the bullet and buy the AUG. Steyr AUG saturday fellow stalker
I took my C96 apart and put it back together without horribly mutilating myself this time
e: Fuck, page king. Here's a video of my hipster friend shooting it

Sorry for vertical, my phone wouldn't record horizontally for whatever reason.
I've always loved the Broomhandle, honestly. Is it any fun?
Fact of the day: Once I land a solid job, I'm going to purchase a Daisy Heddon VL in a goddamn heartbeat.

A caseless .22lr rifle.
Not to mention the ammo is as cheap as regular .22LR right now because of how much hope Daisy was putting into these things selling like hotcakes.

It's the most fun I've ever had with a gun, including it gouging my hand so bad the first time I took it apart I had to duct tape paper towels to myself because band-aids wouldn't cut it.
It's supremely fun to point - depending on your posture you instantly feel like you're about to execute some partisan resistance or blast your way through some Stormtroopers. It's fun to load it - it has a really satisfying and click-clacky action that's ready to go as soon as you take the clip away. Shooting it is a blast, since the action is more like a rifle's than a pistol's it handles more differently than you'd think and it's really dead accurate once you get used to it. And of course, just having it on the range is fun because it catches people's eyes and strikes up conversations for you, especially with older guys who can't believe someone your age owns one.
Plus, it has the added benefit of being the only pistol you don't need a tax stamp to put a stock on.
It's my favorite gun out of the 10 I own and that was a hard choice until I got the C96.
Wypalls and electrical tape. Best band-aid replacer and tourniquet ever.
But I've been wanting one for quite a while.

Honestly, the CZ Skorpion Evo 3 at $800 is better than their 9mm subgun for almost 3x the price.
Now if only they weren't being vacuumed up everywhere... They're the new Tavor or KSG.
SIG rifles are just overpriced AKs when you get down to it.
Then again, I suppose you could say all browning action guns are just overpriced browning actions...
Granted, you can get a $400 1911 or WASR and put all the go fast gear on it to make it handle better, but putting lipstick on a pig doesn't change that fact.
I have a problem justifying $3K for the latest plastic fantastic when it doesn't do much more than a standard AR, and is an AR-18 or AK playing dress-up.
Maybe if I had oodles of dosh I wouldn't care, but I feel like I've become too shrewd to enjoy the diversity of modern guns.

Try to find one at a gun show or something you can handle and see if you like it first. I'd never even see one in real life before I went to pick mine up, so I wasn't really sure what it'd be like until I got my hands on it. Fortunately I liked it immediately.
My pistol's serial number is not within any listed production ranges that I can find but it has the features of a wartime commercial, new safety model, so I'm guessing it was made in 1915 or just before. It would be helpful if the Allies hadn't intentionally destroyed Mauser's records...
e: The sources I was looking at for serial numbers were outdated, what do you know. Okay; it's the 3,854th Wartime Commerical model produced. It bears markings that I was able to identify as Prussian acceptance stamps and a Kaiserliche Marine (Imperial German navy) proof... which seems to make it a pretty rare piece.
Sorry if you already answered this, but where did you get it from? Online auction? I'd be seriously interested in a C96 but $1k and up is what I've seen at gun shows and that's a little steep for me.
So a few years ago, my aunt showed me something her dad kept as a keepsake post-World War II. I was shocked when I found out it was a good-condition Luger. Knowing the rarity of these things, I'll never ever fire it, but I was so ecstatic that I was able to hold one.

Canadians will pay the $2800 because we don't really have any other .308s that are semi and not illegal or Chinese, and the AR can only be shot at the gun range, so you can't hunt with it. Anything that's non-restricted and tactical-fantastical is expensive as balls.

I put out a WTB ad on Texasguntrader. Two people contacted me - one with a mismatched hackjob 9mm Bolo for like $600 and one with this one for $900. I was going to try to talk him down at first but I did some research and figured $900 was really fair enough - and then he held it for me for an entire month when my finances didn't work at the time, so I just gave him what he was asking.
Alright so I've heard rumors that the "green-tip" ban is going to be put through via Executive Order.
Can he do that?

got 4 plum mags, plum sling and flip-up night sights now :>

No, he can't. But why would he? The ATF is already looking to do it. Just email the ATF and let them know why you think it shouldn't be done.

Pfft, like the ATF would care. I hate to be pessimistic but they'll do anything to try and add on extra regulation
Just got 120 M855 rounds before the prices skyrocket.
I fell like I wasted the money because it dosent make sense for them to ban it.
