I'm not a fan of grip safeties but if you're comparing a gun with a grip safety to one without it, statistically you're a lot more likely to shoot yourself on the gun without a grip safety than you are to ever be in a situation where having the grip safety is a problem. If NDs are irrelevant and purely user error, then logically you shouldn't bother with safeties at all, since their entire point is to prevent NDs.
Statistically, if you're not an idiot, it wont matter what gun you have, you wont shoot yourself. Grip safeties and magazine disconnect safeties came out of government requirements to mass issue the firearms to people with limited training. There will always be NDs because people are dumb.
Someone is selling a 50.cal in my area... I dunno...I kinda want to.

I usually have the safety off and it hasn't gone wrong because I actively avoid pointing guns at myself
Okay, so the ONLY spring I can order and have it here by next week is this one http://www.glockstore.com/stainless-steel-competition-recoil-spring-for-glocks Does anyone trust glockstore? I called them and heard the guy talking with another dude and said they had a few left in stock, I can get the Gen4 adapter ring. But I need this by Friday, should I buy it from glock store?
Just order from em, they're apparently a actually brick and motor store that has a website. Worse comes to worse, just do a charge back with your bank.
The assembly pin on my pistol broke. I was doing reloading drills and the slide locked back with a snap cap in the mag. The confusion I had was palpable, until I saw that the pin was sticking halfway out and was missing the part that hooks onto your finger.
So I heard west virginia is getting a law allowing fully automatic weapons and suppressors and constitutional carry all without a permit. http://boards.4chan.org/k/thread/25069483/west-virginia-gets-full-auto-suppressors-and How awesome would it be to CCW a full auto glock with a suppressor, that's some james bond tier shit right there.
Just order from em, they're apparently a actually brick and motor store that has a website. I have no choice anyway, I need the rod by Friday so I just ordered it.
Speaking of quality holsters Beware of soft holsters I mean it is pretty foolish to no check your gear and maintain it. But this is one thing that can happen, this guy got super lucky. I would suggest a nice Kydex holster
:/ I've since sold the Jericho 941, gotten a Steyr L9-A1, and a custom molded holster.
I get custom leather holsters for all my handguns, if the leathersmith knows what he's doing it's not possible for the trigger to get caught on the holster.
My personal preference for holsters: http://www.tacticalholsters.com/product/XST/XST-Standard.html Skip to 1:45 to see the top strap work:

Can anybody with a Glock 19 (any 9mm Glock, really) take a picture of the inside of the receiver with the slide, barrel, and recoil spring removed? For science, of course.
That Troy handguard reminds me of an octopus tentacle... Upgrading the irons or are you getting optics?
The rubber caps that go on the handguard are called Squid grips :P Figure I'll start with the TWS dogleg, which replaces the rear leaf with a peep sight at the back of the dust cover. Then I might through a PA microdot or Vortex Sparc on the rail.
Now add scope like Mattv2099
Why, even after all the trouble he had firing that, do I want one? Even if I couldn't get a whole 20+ round ruger mag through it without a malfunction, I think it's pretty neat.

I had one and sold it because I wanted optics with AAs or no batteries at all. There is a version of the TWS that has an integrated rear notch sight, if you'd prefer that, it's the only one in stock and it has a base for a PA Microdot: https://www.primaryarms.com/TWS_Dog_Leg_Scope_Rail_For_Aimpoint_T1_p/tws32414.htm Here is an AK I had sporting the combo:
Very nice. I've got an issue with my right eye (I'm right handed) so the leaf is hard for me to focus on the front post through. TWS' own website has them in stock, and the peep sight is a few dollars more, but I'll be happier with it, I think. [editline]15th March 2015[/editline] Is yours Chinese? The stock I'm not familiar with, but it looks like you have a hooded front sight.

It looks like it would be. Very cool, nonetheless.
Google helps.
Uhh thanks, I know what Google is. I searched and saw that result, I was hoping someone would be kind enough to take that picture without the magazine in, maybe angled a little more so I could see into the trigger-safety mechanism and magazine well. If that's too much to ask, I'd be happy to just go and find one to take apart and oggle at. I'm searching Youtube, too, so please don't suggest I do that as well.
You didn't say why you wanted it or what in particular you wanted to see.
This isn't a NSFW thread, we can't show you a Glock's lower in its 'happy form'. Some things you'll just have to wait 'till you're older to find out on your own, Jimmy. But no, really, I don't have a Glock, so I can't help at all. Sorry. What's the purpose behind it, other than 'science reasons'?

I was hoping to see the similarities and the differences between the trigger and hammer mechanisms and what-not. Honestly, just forget it, I'll find a video or a real Glock 19 to play with eventually. At least y'all are lighthearted - I swear this isn't for waifu reasons.
