The most valuable piece of steel, by weight, to ever exist. It's a full auto disconnect.
I figured those stamped steel full-auto disconnects would be more valuable weight for weight considering they're about the same price but might lighter.
That is real, just like shouldering those arm braces "manufactures a short barreled rifle" and makes you a felon. SBRs are treated like a pistol, except in terms of magazine capacity, and a pistol with a stock is treated like a pistol. No $200 tax stamp, no risk of a felony.

Well yours are too but... So here in Maryland we can only buy 10rd or under mags.. But I can go out of state and get whatever the fuck I want, beta mags included, and bring them in state and it's totally legal. If my AR barrel was 2 inches shorter, I'd be a felon. Apparently all of this stopped daily mass school shootings after the CT incident. Thanks Martin O'Malley! Fucking jackass.

That, and because if I recall I can buy a GM-6 Lynx in Canada...

I really wish I could get PPSH, but all the ones I see around here are all .22 converts. I would have a fucking blast with a full auto burp gun. 900rpm to over 1100rpm. It's basically a russian kriss, and I want a kriss. God damn it I wish I made $300,000+ a year so I could have all the toys I want.

Where do you all buy 223 ammo from?
Like this?
Nope, lightning link.
Honestly, I would really like to get a PPS-43.
Nope, lightning link.
we like to call them bottle openers here, and we also like to lose them in boating accidents
Nope, lightning link.
Those require more work on the gun than what its worth.
What's the cheapest handgun I can buy legally in california, and where can I get a nice big NRA sticker?
What's the cheapest handgun I can buy legally in california, and where can I get a nice big NRA sticker?
Google is your friend. Buds Gunshop has an option to only show Cali approved handguns. The cheapest (at US$130) is a little 25ACP pocket pistol. 9mm HiPoints are also approved at US$162.
Those require more work on the gun than what its worth.
the only thing with the gun is you need ot either mill a full auto bolt carrier or use an SP1 carrier
That sounds like a fucking stupid law. Care to cite?
Not a law, just the ATF being power mad pricks. [editline]23rd April 2015[/editline]
The most valuable piece of steel, by weight, to ever exist. It's a full auto disconnect.
Far far far more expensive by weight. Looks like Texas open carry is all but passed.
Looks like Texas open carry is all but passed.
Now if Maryland would allow CCW....lol
I have to agree. Sure, open carry will deter some, but for those who you don't, you're going to be the first person shot in a robbery or assault. They'll pull out a gun, pop you a few times before you can react and then proceed with the holdup.
tbh in my europoor eyes, open carry is bum fuck retarded. why would you do it when you could cc?
I'm kinda on the fence about this... You're a target but you're also not a target, because they know you're packing heat.
Texas isn't the place for coats, which makes cc 100x easier.
If you're someone like me and prefer a larger framed gun, you tend to need to wear heavy clothes to conceal it. In Texas, where you tend to dress as light as possible after February, that's really not an option. I'm on the fence about the issue as well, of course - it will benefit me in that it will be easier for me to carry a gun that I'm comfortable with, but if they later push for no-permit carry, it could allow all kinds of idiots to pack heat. Currently a permit is required to CC and OC, but an officer can't ask to see it without probable cause. download has a valid concern as well. I'm not really sure what I'll do, but it'll be nice to have the option anyway.
tbh in my europoor eyes, open carry is bum fuck retarded. why would you do it when you could cc?
To some people, open carry seems like a good option. You show you have a deterrent, which may stop someone from attempting a crime. Of course you could end up being the first target of a shooting. Also open carrying really does scare some people. Some people get scared at the sight of a gun, and depending upon how you act around individuals may make them even more uneasy. Some open carriers can really be assholes. Of course we also have the people that open carry rifles, which is a whole other story.

Just placed the order for the PA micro dot to stick on the AK.
OC has its places, and CC has its places. The very few documented instances of open carriers being shot were all due to poor judgement on the carrier's part. One person had their gun taken from their holster because it did not have proper retention, and another was shot when he willingly handed the gun to a stranger who asked to see it. If you are going to do it, be smart about it and spend money on a good holster. There was another documented instance of an open carrier being robbed at gun point. In a case like this, CC wouldn't really help outside of your gun likely not being taken. Attempting to draw a CC firearm while you are already the focus of a robber with a gun is a terrible idea. Even if you still have your firearm when the robber begins to flee, you can not legally shoot someone in the back, regardless of their actions. Even if you draw on them and yell for them to stop, chances are they won't. As far as being the first target to be shot in a robbery, this has yet to be seen. Is it plausible? Hell yea it is. Chances of it actually happening? Very slim to none. Believe it or not, the majority of people don't notice open carriers when they are out and about. The ones that get noticed are the ones that are looking to get noticed. I've open carried on occasion for the better part of 7 years. Not once has anyone ever mentioned, much less noticed the pistol on my hip when I do carry it. If they do see it, they don't say anything nor do they make a big deal about it. More often than not though, I will CC. I have a .357 Ruger LCR with a DeSantis holster that slips right down in my front pocket. Incredibly comfortable and completely invisible. Because of this, CC is pretty much always practical in my day-to-day life. These days, the only time I open carry is when I am at the camp/in the woods. With wild hogs and snakes rampant at our camp in MS, it's usually a good idea to have a sidearm with easy access handy.

That really doesn't work in practice. [editline]24th April 2015[/editline] My C96 is my most reliable and highest-capacity handgun. I even find it one of the easiest to point and shoot. It'd be hard to resist the temptation to OC it.
If you're CCW then you could be reaching for your wallet and take a gun out instead.
If there is a gun already pointed at you, all they have to do is pull. You have to draw and get the gun into a reasonable position to fire. It won't take but a split second for them to see it's a gun and then fire. It's just not a safe situation if you already have a gun pointed at you. It's best to let the situation to play out.
