I don't think the fault is with the base of the shells, because it's tough the whole time I pry them out. I think it's related to the hull. Since they slide in like butter, I figured cheap plastic hulls + heat = swelling = sticking but Prusse pointed out that it might be getting stuck when the shell "opens" b/c of the shape of the chamber, which is definitely a possibility.
Probably. I'd recommend taking it to a gunsmith and having them examine it. If the hull's not opening properly and you get a really unlucky wad coming through, you could run into very bad day. Be safe and pay the money to have an expert examine the feed cone.

Also, find some 2-1/2 and just shoot it in low-brass. I doubt you'll run into issues with a shorter shell, especially if you're doing skeet or innawoods shooting.
Arnt you supposed to load 2.5"shells in the really old shotguns? As that was the standard back then?
Depends on manufacturer and cone-size. 2-3/4 became popular before 3, and 3-1/4 and 3-1/2 are available for big-game and other sports too.
The biggest thing is finding out what the cone-size is and what the gun is capable of.

You got a Jetbrake? Aren't those things pricey?

jet brake is $90 USD + international shipping

my standard ak-74 brake is nice for mounting my bayonet and deafening my buddy but not much shit else, despite it being a collector's item for an AK purist that wants a standard russian brake.

I guess I'm just a Manticore fanboy.
Meanwhile, I've got one of them fancy keymod cheese graters, and darunner has Squidwards AK... :V
I can't decide on whether to buy a new P226 or a CZ Evo on my 21st birthday. The Evo would make an awesome sbr
Gonna probably buy a c93 today, can someone explain to me what's up with bolt gap shit? I don't want my gun to get fucked after a few hundred rounds.

It's sort of like cylinder gap for revolvers in that too much of a gap is unsafe. It may cause a blown case happen.
Really, the whole gap issue is over played. If you are afraid of it, bring your own gauges and check the gun at the store before you buy. No sense shelling out cash if you are that afraid about it.
I'm going to shoot steel pieces of rebar out of my muzzleloader because I'm bored and I wana make some holes in hard things.
Do you enjoy ruining weapons? Even though smooth bore muzzle loaders can shoot just about anything, does not mean you should. You are going to wreck that barrel.
If its in a sabot, totally different story.

Ehhhh, I wouldn't get the C39, hold out for the DDI stamped AKMs unless you have to have a milled featureless AK.

CZ Evo is impossible to find at MSRP right now, and then you have to find mags, all of which are bought out the instant they go back in stock, especially the 30s.

He was talking about the 5.56 HK clone, not an AK.
At one point those were $500 and it included 2 40rnd mags. Now its back up to 800 with one mag. :(

I'm putting it in a sabot and shooting it at a steel plate.
Already put a few holes in it, all the cast bullets did was just dent it.
If you guys ever need to shoot something with a vest, load up with hardened steel core bullets. Lead is like playdough over 1600fps.

Naw, you can find them on gunbroker insanely easily, several of them sub<$50 under MSRP and most are at or marginally above MSRP price. Not to mention 2 of the local shops told me they can get them for me. Mags are an issue but it'll settle down in a month or 2.
HK C93
Well, the C93 is made by century arms, but it's a clone of the HK 93. An actual HK93 is very expensive.

Better be careful, you can hurt your firearm by doing that. Either sabot it, or do not do it. Also, for laughs. "Combining blanks and cleaning rods in the M16A2 rifle is not an acceptable means of acquiring "meat for the tribe." It should be noted it's a bitch unpinning a squirrel from a tree and you NEVER get your cleaning rod back."

Derp, muh dyslexia.
Even still, are those Century HK clones any better nowadays?
better then the shitload it costs for a real hk93
My century CETME ran fine with CETME mags. But not G3 mags
Today I finally got the e-mail for the rep for Browning Montreal, so I'll be scanning and e-mailing my order for that 1911-380 tonight. Hopefully I'll get it by the end of the summer.
1911 in .380...?
It's a tiny little adorable thing and I want one

I'm mostly interested because most .380s are too short to be legal here, so this little 1911 has me fascinated.
What's this talk about an AK price drop? Someone give me a link, my firearm money jar is full.
