I cry everytime I go on atlantic Firearms and see all the nice AK's. I want another one so bad
I don't care for the HK mag releases either, and I use my index finger routinely when shooting being a lefty. I find it awkward to push down with my index finger when I'm used to pushing directly in which I find easier with that articulation anyways.
How's the AR7? I've always wanted a good survival rifle (Mainly backpacking & fishin-in-the-sticks), but the prices of them kinda throw me off. Are they pretty reliable for being under 250?
Is there some websites with all the dimensions for rounds? Like for the .30 Carbine? I've seen some diagrams on wikipedia, but not all pages have the diagrams.

If you pull the trigger too hard they'll jam due to lack of a trigger disconnect.
Hey, I'm looking for an M44 carbine, but I don't have much experience with online firearm dealers. Can anyone recommend a good site, preferably one that ships from the midwest?

The thing about the AR-7 is that it markets a "survival rifle" aesthetic but there's nothing about it that makes it any more suitable for the task (whatever the task is supposed to be).
Just buy a takedown 10/22 or something.

J&G and Budsgunshop are both good. Buds has fast shipping too.
Personally, I wouldn't buy a surplus rifle online. You'll rarely get something so bad you can't shoot it, but it's a pain in the ass to get it returned if you do. There was also that one guy who got a Type 53 off J&G and there was a stripped and broken casing stuck in the chamber.
My only complaint with USP's is the damn mag release.
The mag release is awesome, you're smokin crack bro.

Not like I have much choice. The gun shops around here mostly carry shotguns, AR15s and handguns. They rarely if ever have anything surplus, and when they do, it's never the model I'm looking for.

Thats my issue here, the gunshops never have any good shit and if they do its way too expensive. Order off buds, I've ordered shitloads from them and never had any issues.

Jgsales? CDNN? Liberty tree collectors?
Liberty tree collectors?
Holy fuck. This just might be what I'm looking for, thanks.
I'll update you if I find it.
EDIT: Nope, they don't actually sell the rifles themselves. Just accessories.
Is there anywhere - anywhere at all where I can find an M44 carbine?
Try Impact Guns
Well they do sell rifles there. But not be the exact one you're looking for though
So... My brother-in-law is trying to buy my Makarov, while at the same time trying to give me his Five Seven. Unsure of how to feel about this :v:
New rifle purchased. Hopefully I can pick it up when I return next week.

Go on, take the 5-7 and run.
Of course the mount shows up on my doorstep with no other tracking info the day after I order another one.
I'll say it again, fuck usps.
Can you give the seller his money back?

Probably not. I'll ship him back one of them, probably the second one seeing as they are the same exact thing.
Speaking of M44's, there's still the same one at my local pawn shop for 250. I finally inspected it today.
-Very good bolt pull
-good bore
-stock with one little blemish
It comes with a 3 point strap, bayonet lug and a slip-on butt shotshell holder for some reason.
Should I talk him down?

Considering the days of $150 M44s are long behind us and most 91/30s seem to go for $150-200 now, I'd say that's a very reasonable price if it's in good condition. Always worth seeing if he'll take less, though.

Date of manufacture and nationality? Is the bayonet still on it or did some fudd remove it?
Hot damn.

I wish I were a thousand dollars richer.
Hey guys I've been on a major black powder kick recently (built my own black powder rifle, planning on doing the same for a pair of pistols and maybe a different style rifle)
I was curious though. In the US, specifically Florida, is it legal to own full sized black powder cannons?
i.e. 3, 6, and/or 12lb cannons as used in the Revolutionary and Civil wars?
