I've been to Austria, and that's exactly the only thing I could think during the bus drive from Prague to Vienna was how gorgeous it'd be to hunt in their mountains. My God, they make everything in the U.S. so bland.
That picture I posted is in Montana, which is in the US.
The US can be just as gorgeous nature wise as Europe, dude. Just google search "American valleys" and "American mountain ranges" and "Hilly American Countryside"

IMO they look stupid. Also it's a $500+ modification to a $300 rifle.
It's like those Archangel stocks for Mosin Nagants. Shoving $500+ onto a $100 rifle is dumb IMO. Just buy a $600 rifle and it'll be infinitely better.
Same goes for the SKS. If you want a compact platform rifle use that $500 to get a carbine like a sub2000, or splurge on that new scorpion from cz it's pretty awesome.
I was looking to get a Zastava O-PAP before I heard about the bullpup SKS. Around here, I can get a 250 dollar SKS and the stock for 250 dollars. That would make it 150 dollars cheaper than an O-PAP.
However, I do like the fact that I can make the Zastava look like an RPK.

The Rockies can be, but they're still different from the Alps in a lot of ways. Until you've actually been on the roving hills there, it's impossible to truly tell what it feels like. They're similar, but vastly different at the same time. I don't know if it's cultural or just what, but you feel like you're in two completely different worlds, and the wildlife even feels completely different, at that.

You'll get more use out of a PAP than you will some pseudo-bullpup. Have fun loading stripper clips into a bullpup.

Honestly, IMO, I'd be content never seeing Europe. America is so big with so much to see. It's only a little bit smaller than Europe, and if you include Canada in "America" then it's way bigger. Plenty for me to see in my life time.

This. Get the PAP. SKSes are great, don't get me wrong, but don't drop the same amount of money as the rifle on a gimmicky stock.
What I'd do if I were you, put the two lumps of $250 together and get yourself a Russian SKS for $500. Then don't modify it in any way or I'll find you and beat you with a dildo.
Florida is awesome! This is my backyard. Literally if I felt like it, I could pop a cap in an oinker from my back sliding glass door. Some predator has came back in the area though, deer and oinkers are both seen much less. Makes me wonder if its the same one that left a 4 inch wide cat print in my backyard. Alright, after my M44 purchase, I'll get a Zastava for my birthday.
Westside of Jacksonville. I technically need a backstop, Nothing wrong with firing in the pond, no one really cares about the noise, just there are people behind those woods so you have to take caution and be kind of courteous. It's up to you, I don't mind, but if I recall from earlier it'll be a far drive to not be able to shoot much. There is a local gun range though.
Got to see a Skorpion at the gun shop today when I went to the range, it was pretty cool. The stock's a bit awkward though. I think I'll get one in .380.
I also shot trap for the first time today with my dad's 870. I got 9/25.

What Scorpion/Skorpion are you talking about? The new one or the old one?
The new one's factory folding stock is really nice. I can't remember if that model is an SBR or not though. Pretty sure it is.
IMO it's a sexy gun and I'd love to own one.
Old one, VZ61 model. In Canada folding stock doesn't matter for legality, but due to its compact size it's classified as a resricted "rifle" so it has to be treated like it's a pistol for transport, and its mag is pinned to 5.

One step forward, two steps back...
Canada's gun laws confuse the fuck out of me. It's like someone took America's gun laws, unrestricted some things that are restricted for no good reason, then added a bunch of dumb shit.
3 gun sounds so fun. Who does competitions here? I wanna hear experiences and tips.

Canada used to have better laws than the US in the '80s, except we banned autos, and then 1992 and 1995 came along and fucked it all up in an even stupider fashion than the US.

Yup.
Reasons I envy Canada:
-Pistols are allowed to have stocks
-SVT-40's for $300
-Russian SKS rifles for $200
Reasons I pity Canada:
-Magazine Capacity Limits
-No AK Pattern rifles
-Registration
Registration's gone for most things, thankfully. Also, we can't shoot pistols anywhere but a range, and we need permission to bring it there. Thankfully, they're planning to pass a law by June that gives us automatic permission to go shooting as part of the restricted license.
Still waiting on my FOID card.
In the next month or so I'm finally buying an Arsenal AK. Can't decide on 7.62 or 5.45 though
It's time to renew my licenses for 3 years again, 400 euro's for the privilege of owning 5 licensed firearms. If I had to pay for all my guns every three years I'd be bankrupt instantly, and this time it's worse because my old man got the 100 year old 1897 licensed when he bought it off a pub owner in Achill Island, where my parents are from.
The gun was stolen by the IRA off the RIC during the war of independence and ended up in the pub owners hands somehow, I think I posted pictures of it here before, it's a historic relic, complete with stamp and serial number. Now that it's licensed I have no doubt if we we ended up not being able to pay or end up selling it off it would one day end up being destroyed by the Guards because it's on a register. I'm sure everyone knows Cops have little interest in historic firearms, but the Gardai over here are so ignorant and inept that they have little experience or training with their own firearms. They ended up getting their Uzi's taken off them by the state because they preformed so poorly with them they were a danger to the public and themselves, only detectives have them now.
Well as bad as things are here, at least I don't live in the UK lol, I feel sorry for gun owners over there.
You should move north across the border. I hear the Queen's Ireland has pretty good gun laws.

Took a photo of my new SMLE. Should have the proper brass buttplate in a few weeks.

I miss my SMLE. I want to get another some day.
Thankfully our renewal fee is only $60-$80 every 5 years. It used to be free, but that changed a few years back.
I don't have a renewal/license fee :v:
Unless you count my concealed carry permit.
Thanks for the reminder, DL. I haven't shot my ,303 in forever. I think I might take it out with me this weekend when I go shooting if I can find some go-bang-stuffs for it.
Remember, praise murdercube lest you end up like one of these sinners

Remember comrades, make your yearly pilgrimage to the murder cube, lest your guns rust and your bayonets go dull.

Where the fuck is it? Not even searching "Where is the murder cube" or "giant cube of guns" tells me where the god damn thing is
