USPs aren't big? wtf
a full size USP isn't any bigger than your average duty pistol, but a USP compact is hilariously uncompact.
Well, really, everyone now thinks of subcompacts as 'compacts', so that could be a bit oxymoronic to say it's not that small, but the USP compact is what, 1/2" shorter barrel? It is really a pretty pathetic difference.

It's not a HUGE difference like a Desert eagle or a MK .23, but it's thicker and longer than most other pistols.
7" isn't that bad. Considering its competition in the combat sized realm is the Beretta M92Fs is 8.5", The 226 is 7.7", and an M1911a1 is 8.5".
Its been a while since I fired a USP but I remember having trouble reaching the magazine release. Mind you I was 14 when I last fired one.
I prefer the P226
Last time I held a USP the grip was too short.
I've never shot one, just fondled them. Even so, I still couldn't ever get used to and like that style of release. Also, relevant:

My god...look at what this guy did to a 10/22.
I got my first semi auto rifle ever, and AMD-65 from Classic. Unfortunately after I shot about 200 rounds through it, the fucking shephard's hook got knocked out of place and the entire trigger group/hammer fell out of wack and jammed up hard core, and the bolt carrier was stuck with a round in the chamber. Was able to get it out, but I bought a retaining plate that will be coming in the mail soon. Still a really fun gun to shoot, I bought a 700 round tin of Romanian surplus and it shoots great. Either way, once you get good with QK, you don't need sights at all. I had a sightless .22 air rifle (was intended to have a scope, which broke) and after a few months, i could reliably get headshots on squirrels at 25m. It's a pretty useful thing to learn.

My bro had some guys in his unit in boot get kicked out for huffing CLP, so even more certifiable dumbasses.

Only reason he got off was because other members of his platoon had contributed, so they couldn't be certain within a reasonable doubt that the SHARP and EO violating shit in there was written by him.
most reliable compact .308 semi auto?
most reliable compact .308 semi auto?
I assume you mean .380? Glock 43 probably, but guns like the S&W Bodyguard and anything not made by Taurus or other obviously bad manufacturers are usually good enough. It's hard to fuck up a 380. If you mean a actual 7.62NATO compact, I'd suggest a PTR91 PDW.
Got my hunting license. They spelled my name wrong. Thankfully I noticed it at the ministry, so they just let me keep the temp license and said they'd fix it when I get my actual card.
Finally made my kit. This is my first Glock ever. I have to say they never interested me but I do admit I have been missing out. It is a fun and simple pistol.
What are gun shops in Australia like?
Ammunition and firearms are all locked up behind the counter out of reach of customers. Other than that and the lack of anything semi-auto on the shelves I suspect it's pretty similar to a US gun shop.
So.... nothing like US gun shops?
I store my remington model 870 super mag all camo in my truck, I decided to take it out and look it over and their is a SHIT TON of light surface rust EVERYWHERE. I know for sure when I last cleaned it I used a heavy amount of Hopes 9.... What else can I do?
