Yeah, well the cops told us they have young kids out in the backyard and they don't want me scaring them according to the caller.
The way I see it, if I keep shooting every day the cops are going to keep getting called and I don't want to piss them off enough to find a reason to fine me for breaking some obscure bylaw.

How about you go take 5 minutes to talk to your neighbors, apologize, and work out some sort of schedule for when its ok for you to shoot.

i don't really get why people would have any specific thought process on wanting to ban people from giving firearms 'unrealistic' or 'toy like' colour tones or vice-versa with airsoft. it's fine as long as they're only exposed in a controlled and private environment, like they should be
telling people to not paint firearms to prevent crimes related is pretty much useless considering any criminal with intent of doing something like that can easily plasti-dip something in a couple of hours and just as easily reverse it. all it would do is hinder people who just want to paint their sport rifle with neon tiger stripes so they can get laughed at

I did, they said they were fine with it.
But thats just two of the guys who live there, the problem is there's like 15 russians living in that house.
They have hummers, speed boats, ATV's, canoes, and a dump truck just sitting in their backyard too.

Gunshots are loud and annoying, and for soccer moms they're scary (whether you like it or not, most soccer moms don't like violence or guns). It's like if you blasted some shitty Norwegian death metal if you live in apartment complex on a Sunday afternoon. Just got my Mini 14 threaded, and put a ruger flash hider on it. I decided to film the test shooting, and thought I'd share it here :)
It was filmed with my cellphone, carefully placed on my shooting bag so there isn't any fancy camera work.

I love the little "ping" sound from the flash hider every time the rifle is fired. I'm also running Tula Ammo, which seemed to run really smooth (haven't tested accuracy though).

I want a Mini-14 so badly. It seems like the absolute perfect all around rifle.
Perfect for hunting, perfect for any scenario that requires 30+ rounds since it takes AR15 mags.
.....Mini14's do not take AR mags brosky.

It's fine if you shoot without consulting your neighbors if you live in southern cousin-fuckin middle of nowhere territory. But if you live where theres a neighbor in close proximity, regardless if you care what they think of you, you could be a decent human being and go ask them if it's ok for you to be a loud noisy asshole. I realize that you live life on the edge and you don't care what people think about you, but that still makes you a colossal asshole.

I inform them. But I don't ask if they think it's OK. I know my laws and rights.
Where I used to live down in Orlando but only in Orange County, outside of city limits, my house butted up against a wooded area surrounding a lake. I contacted the police, they said since I was out of city limits I could shoot in my own property. So I went around to all the neighbors and said "Hey just letting you know I'm going to be sighting in a few of my rifles in my back yard".
I'm not a colossal asshole. I just don't care if they're not ok with it. I inform, not ask for permission I don't need.
