Is the throttle at least in an area that makes driving the bike somewhat safe? XD. Also, is it morally wrong to convince my friend to make a slam fire shotgun?
no it just means you're awesome How does he plan on going about making one?
So I got me a good ol Rem 870 real good shape, doesnt seem like its ever been shot too much. Anyways, at the risk of being called bubba again, whats to stop me from painting the barrel and reciever chrome?
no it just means you're awesome How does he plan on going about making one?
We have a few plans for a few guns actually. Just a basic slam fire is a 3/4 inch steel pipe that goes into a 1 inch steel pipe with an end cap that has a screw going through it, or something mounted on the inside to set off the primer. It has to be a certain length for it to be legal, and I have a good idea of the design. It'll look rather close to the Richardson Guerrilla Gun.

STILL waiting for my FOID card. Goddamnit Illinois, the fact that I can't have the same fireworks that 90% of the rest of the country can get with no problem is bad enough, but this is some bullshit.
It baffles me that DS Arms built their pro shop in Illinois just outside Chicago. A place that hates its very existence. It makes it so anyone outside of Illinois cannot buy from their shop directly.
Illinois itself isn't so bad, it's just Chicago. Ironically a city I love
Illinois itself isn't so bad, it's just Chicago. Ironically a city I love
I have a sort of love/hate relationship with the city. I know it's a great place in all, but holy shit, they need to realize that there are people in Illinois who don't live in Chicago. And the politicians get so fucking childish over shit too. It's ridiculous.
I know this has probably been posted before, but That shit is ear porn for me.
I want to get a silencer for my SPR now

Does anybody know much about painting guns? Ive done some research and so far all I can find is either "JUS BBQ PAINT IT HURR" or an elaborate guide on how you have to media blast and wet sand the whole thing, use a 3 step painting process with 200$ worth of paint and clear coats, bake it in a volcano for 2 weeks, and sacrifice 6 goats at fust the right moment all at precisely 51% humidity. It seems like alumi-hyde II is the best option, but it doesnt come in a chrome-like color. If I could get away with a little bit of 200 grit sanding to rough up the bluing, using something like rustoleum metallic finish, and a coat of exoxy clear coat, that would be great, but I have no idea if that would work or not.
Stripper clips for my C96 came in today. Don't have to cut myself anymore holding the bolt open while I load it one round at a time.

Rubbing off the bluing and then giving it a hit of rustoleum sounds all kinds of sacrilegious. But hey, it's your gun; you do you I guess.
Guy in my town is selling this 1916 Carcano Truppe speciali. http://www.armslist.com/posts/4451228/jacksonville-florida-rifles-for-sale--1916-carcano-ts Was going to buy it, but can't find places to get ammo with it (he told me he has a box of ammo and an extra clip though). Anyone in the Jacksonville, Florida area interested though, looks like a good buy.

Putting bible quotes on firearms is terrifying.
Putting bible quotes on firearms is terrifying.
How?
How?
It screams right-wing nutjob like nearly nothing else.
It screams right-wing nutjob like nearly nothing else.
It really does not help the image of shooters.
That perception is irrational. So what if people want to put religious quotes on their firearms? What's bad about it? Are these quotes aggressive? Do they point to someone who would use said weapon to kill someone in the name of God? If someone wants to show their spirituality, who cares? Why judge someone because they want to be on God's good side?

Why judge someone because they want to be on God's good side?
It's called being politically conscious. Yes, you can be all high and mighty about how it's your 'right' to own a firearm, but in reality, most people don't care about that right. By being politically conscious and not coming off as a nutjob you make it easier for non-shooters to sympathize and potentially get into shooting. It's even worse when you consider how irreligious this generation is; anything that ties gun ownership to religion and in turn the Right will come back and bite us in the ass once the old people and their vote die off. [editline]6th July 2015[/editline] The only way to stop gun control in its tracks is to make being pro-gun a bipartisan position.
Or people can put whatever they want on their firearm because it is their personal property... I won't stop anyone from putting whatever they want on their firearm. No one seems to get the bible verse anyway. I personally wouldn't because I'm an Atheist, but it yours, do as you wish. As long as you aren't putting religious phrases on your gun and then going on religiously motivated killing sprees, I could care less, it's yours, not mine.

I'd be equally creeped out by Quran verses on someone's firearm. It just makes you look like you think you're a crusader IMO.

Some do honestly have verses on their guns just because "I'ma kill me some ragheads and liberals". Those are the same wierdos who buy pork blood dipped bullets, etc. I've met a few of those, and sadly they are VERY vocal. Those are the same assholes you see on the gun control pages shouting that Sandy Hook was a false flag.
