Me and my boyfriend were thinking of selling the savage axis in .30-06 and buying a used bushmaster police issued ar-15 in 5.56 for $650. I love the bolt action and the power but we want something cheaper to feed and fun.

But check your smaller walmarts, they [i]usually[/i] tend to have more ammo in stock because people like to go to the big walmarts to buy large quantities of ammo. Walmarts supply chain for ammo was revamped after sandy hook and it has been ruined ever since, so stores are hard pressed to stay supplied, especially ones that don't have a gun-room in the back to store ammo.

Pretty much anyone who doesn't use the M2 uses it.

I braved the barren wasteland of Gander Mountain today after it got restocked after work, and managed to find two boxes of .22lr sub and ,303 British. You could say things are looking up in this frozen hell-hole that is Democrat-in-Office-Virginia.

I gave up hope for Gander Mountain when I saw a used "Beretta 92" (it was a Taurus PT92) for $700, and $800 for a used P226 that looked like someone tossed it down a mountain. Oh, and $700 police trade in Glocks.

Honestly the gun store selling them sells cheap 54R for a dollar a round, notoriously expensive. As for just any 50 BMG, found some 10 round boxes at Academy for like 35 bucks. Federal American Eagle, 660 Grains, around 3.50 a round, cheapest I have ever seen 50 BMG.
