they always have it cause nobody buys it. It's not on a regular shipping list and it's non-orderable from store level. Trust me, I tried to order 300 boxes of it when I was a manager over sporting goods for a customer.

We still should've made that home built 50 cannon

I really wanted to but everyone I suggested it too was all "nuhhhhh shrapnel nuhhhhh im a big sissy". Fuckin' whiney cry babies.
Slapped a riser and a 4x scope on our AR, and a rubber butt stock sock.
After shooting 600 rounds I realized the .223 is just a .22lr on steroids, why the fuck is this rifle restricted in Canada and why do we have mag limits? Fuck I've never had this much fun since I rode my first dirt bike.
It's like the perfect gun, comes apart with two pins and its easy to clean, I'm almost tempted to take the upper and everything back with me and try and get an RPAL if only there weren't so many restrictions.

Are their any Aussies that post here?
I know it's hard in AUS to get your hands on guns, but me and a friend would love to go to a range sometime, but we have no knowledge of the process of doing that here.

What state are you in?
What state are you in?
NSW.
NSW.
I think (but can't be sure) that NSW has this stupid law saying you can't shoot under the supervision of someone with a license. Best bet would be to ask /k/ or just go straight ahead and put in a firearms license application at your local cop shop.

I just use a cotton swab and bore cleaner. Are you guys really that lazy?
I just use a cotton swab and bore cleaner. Are you guys really that lazy?
Honestly. A boresnake and 1 patch clean my AR perfectly.
And yeah, the fact that they're restricted is bullshit, otherwise I'd have a perfect coyote gun.

It's not illegal if you don't get caught.
What sort of punishment would you be looking at if you were caught dropping pests with your AR15?
I just use a cotton swab and bore cleaner. Are you guys really that lazy?
What kind of magic cotton swab are you using?
Last time I tried cleaning the star chamber, I wasted 20+ swabs and a shitload of CLP, and I was STILL pulling carbon out of the damn thing.
Fucking government weapons.

Alternatively use q-tips cut off a quarter inch short of the cotton, and hold them with tweezers and swipe around behind the bolt lugs.
I wonder if one could hook up a barrel to a compressed air tank and blast it with a high pressure mix of air, CLP, and a little really fine blasting media to clean a barrel in 5 seconds flat.
Bought a scope for the Carl Gustav 84mm RFK yesterday.
Planning to put it on my 452 for shits and giggles on the range.
Since it's a 2x17* with yellowed lenses and an eye relief distance of exactly one inch, it's virtually useless, but the reticle is awesome and the clicks are pretty crisp. 30 clicks up and down, left and right. They're so ridiculously coarse that I think they move the POI about 10-20cm per click at 100m.

How much did this cost? I know you have a different currency, but hell, I can easily convert that, looks like a fun novelty. I may say fuck it and strap it to my Mosin for shits and giggles if I find one.
And people told me ultrasonic cleaners were useless.

A lifetime firearm prohibition and 5 years in jail, since it's a restricted firearm.
I'm debating buying a Norinco Type 97 with full metal upper rail since it's also .223, takes AR mags, is a bullpup, but is non-restricted, so I can hunt with it.
No, the fact that I can't hunt with an AR but I can with a Type 97 makes no sense to me either.
It makes sense, because; Canada.
I wish my Walmart had guns. I would expect Arizona to be on top of that shit. There's barely any ammo anymore, either.
Some of our walmarts do though? 3 out of 4 times I have no trouble finding 9mm, occasionally I'll find 22.

Move to the states, once trudeau gets elected my mind is set.
That and I can expand my dads business down south.
Also this is ultra_bright, wrong account sry :x
Trudeau's not getting elected, if anyone's getting elected it's Angry Tom, and I already told my buddy who moved to Michigan that if the NDP win I'll be following him shortly.

be warned that the very very tight eye relief might be a problem on rifles with more recoil than .223, though. but i suppose good handling of the mosin and the rubber cup can make it possible :)
That pretty cool, maybe I might find one at a gun show, always something of interest there. Found one of these at a gun show once, weirdest looking shotgun.

I guess the only dumb question is one that isn't asked.
I've got a polymer rifle. M&P 15-22 to be exact. How would I go about painting it without absolutely fucking ruining it?

It's not just behind the lugs. There's the seam that runs the circumference of the chamber that seems to have a permanent caking of carbon built up in it. It's always there, there's no way to get rid of it, barring a solvent bath.

Brownells has a few kits for painting guns, but if you want to paint a gun and have it stay painted, the best thing to do is to get it duracoated/keracoated whateverelsecoated. A 99c spraypaint can you got at lowes won't last past 1 outing. 99.99% of stencils and designs on guns look retarded, except for one:
