I stopped buying those when I turned 13. :colbert:
These were the only ones I bought. I used to mix and match the parts to make Mega-Toa.
Same thing, but I had all six Toa Nuva instead (was that what they were called?).
I always hate bionicles :buddy:
Then why are you in this thread?
I used to be a massive fan of Lego, but Bionicle didn't interest me.
When the Toa turned into the Toa Nuva, I thought it was a pretty nifty transformation. These said awesome Toa turned to shit when they transformed again when fighting the Makuta on that one island. That last transformation reminded me too much of overgeneralizing and the first Toa weren't unique anymore. When I saw ads in a Lego magazine showing Tahu's golden armor, and it looked precisely like the original armor plus a little extra, I got excited. It was like buying the original Toa all over again.
i used to collect these but stopped doing so when i was about ten.
MY CHILDHOOD! noooo
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
When Bionicle first came out I liked Pohatu the most because he kicked the kohli ball (when I was younger I thought it was a regular rock) into enemies, and thats what got me into Bionicle. My favorite series of bionicle were: -The Bohrok, they had the cool looking Krana inside their heads and they could curl up into little balls before attacking. -The Vahki looked Badass, enough said. -The Piraka had the light-up teeth, and cool looking weapons. -The Barraki reminded me of what the life is like in the Abyssal Zone of the Sea. ____________________________ -The Mahri and Phantoka had the cool-looking high-tech armor and vehicles. -The Glatorian's designs were reminescent of that of the Ancient Roman Gladiators.
From there on I don't even know what you're talking about
From there on I don't even know what you're talking about
its what happens when kids with asperger's read the little blurb on the back of the playset/container and take it too seriously
I had the giant black bug. It was awesome.
Lego Throwbots/Slizers were cooler.
Agreed, I had that same McThrowbot, was trying to collect them all to make the huge one (kind of like a Megazord). Too bad they were discontinue before I could collect them all.
I only had one bionicle and i have never taken it apart since the day I finished it. Some of the pieces even fell off.
I have a signed copy of that one special gold comic lying around somewhere. I won a contest. it was: 1st place: Super cool new home tv set 2nd place: Signed copy of the gold edition comic 3rd place: Free bionicle toy. I also went through one time and found all the comics #1- like, 40 or something and put them in order. I wish i knew where they were
Well they can't keep using the same theme over and over again. It gets stale and boring after the long run. Its a shame that it wasn't the StarWars set that isn't going to be discontinued. That is scheduled to be disconnected in 2011. http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/2011
Fuck yeah tahu http://bionicle.lego.com/en-us/story/bios/stars/Tahu.aspx what the fuck have they done to you
That movie was the shit.
Even though is was kinda part of my childhood, I don't think I will be missing it at all.
http://bionicle.lego.com/en-us/story/bios/agori/Crotesius.aspx what the hell ;_; I still have my collection in a cabinet, gathering dust in my basement.
If the lore and storyline continues then it won't truely die...
This is how fucked up fetishes start.
I have one with 2 motor saw blades or something.
I didn't have bionicle, am I too old?
Roboriders, Throwbots, The original Bionicle. These were when Lego was getting super epic.
I have/had all of those. :v:
They are getting replaced by Ben 10 LEGO. A shitty tv show for kids.
Am I the only one who thouhgt it got bad AFTER Metru Nui?
These were the only ones I bought. I used to mix and match the parts to make Mega-Toa.
The originals were the best
I remember I loved the white guy's mask, but never got one.
fuck yeah Onua all others are smalltime [editline]10:51PM[/editline]
The first green one was awesome too
Thanks for the nostalgia guys Btw I had this one [editline]08:25PM[/editline] I had this bitch, was so cash
I remember when these were so fucking coveted. They were like remote control demon crabs. Also Kopaka was my favorite.
So Tahu is the only one of the originals that's still important? Fuck that. Onua was so much cooler. [editline]07:25PM[/editline] Does anyone remember those little CDs the original Toa came with? They were pretty weird.
