what a film. i'm dumb for forgetting it, dumb also for only seeing it once.
Must have watched it at least 3 times. For some reason it's on the permanent catalogue for quite a few Asian airlines. The reason being, it's so damn good
The Town Dog Day Afternoon
2 really solid recommendations there.
A good fantasy movie other than the LoTR trilogy and The Princess Bride.
The Hobbit. Legend. Willow. Dragonheart. I can keep going if you like.
Conan the Barbarian [editline]3rd February 2013[/editline] Excalibur
A good fantasy movie other than the LoTR trilogy and The Princess Bride.
Pans Labyrinth. assuming you can read because it's Spanish lang. Then again, maybe you can speak and understand Spanish. Great fantasy film using some real history as an original backdrop for the genre.
Could someone recommend me something similar to Vertigo?
No idea if this is the right place to post it, but my girlfriend suggested we go and see Warm Bodies, is it any good? It seems either it can pull it off and be something different or just be totally lame whereas we could have watched something else.
I haven't seen it, and probably won't, but the reviews of it have been really positive.
I'm trying to come up with a list of every film set on another planet or in space for my site and I'd love to get some input from Facepunch. You can see what I have so far here http://space-facts.com/films-set-on-other-planets/
yo sup I'm on an 8 hour flight in around 7 hours and I need a TV series that will last that length of time I've already watched: Breaking Bad Dexter Archer Sons of Anarchy Community LOST Prison Break Weeds The Office Sherlock The Walking Dead Jericho Are there any other good TV series?
Treasure Planet!
Thank you, sir, for that bit of nostalgia. [editline]4th February 2013[/editline]
yo sup I'm on an 8 hour flight in around 7 hours and I need a TV series that will last that length of time I've already watched: Breaking Bad Dexter Archer Sons of Anarchy Community LOST Prison Break Weeds The Office Sherlock The Walking Dead Jericho Are there any other good TV series?
Firefly Hell, you'll get through half of the series with that time frame.
Stargate! (It'll keep you entertained a hell of a lot longer than 7 hours, and is better than Firefly imo) Just stay away from that Universe bullshit. SG1 and Atlantis is where it's at.
If its ok to ask in this thread, has anyone seen Event Horizon? Some friends and I were talking about horror movies and it came up. I saw that the director was Paul W.S Anderson and that the reviews were terrible, but my friends swear to me that it is good. I just don't want to waste a Netflix spot or 15 dollars on a blind buy (and I really don't have that much time to watch movies).
Event Horizon is fucking awesome. If you haven't seen it see it NOW

Is Netflix really that expensive over there? I'd try Ebay/Amazon first if you are wanting to retain a copy for your collection.
I'm going to just give it the rental, going to watch it after Dredd and Looper. Thanks for the advice.
If you like Event Horizon, you might enjoy Pandorum as well.

Even though you probably went on the flight already, fuck it, check it out anyways.
Anyone know any movies similar to the first Die Hard?
Anyone know any movies similar to the first Die Hard?
Die Hard 2
Die Hard 2
Forgot to mention, anything but other Die Hard movies :v:
Forgot to mention, anything but other Die Hard movies :v:
a good day to live free and die hard.
Anyone know any movies similar to the first Die Hard?
Dredd The Raid: Redemption people are cooped up in a building fighting evil by being evil
Dredd The Raid: Redemption
Both of these movies are excellent and everybody who likes violent action movies should watch them.
It's a shame Dredd's probably not gonna get a proper sequel.
I just watched Dredd a few days ago; I really wish I had seen it in theaters, the effects and sounds and all would have been even cooler.
Any good buddy-cop movies? I already seen 21 Jump Street and I'm about to watch The Other Guys.
Lethal Weapon Hot Fuzz Bad Boys
How about a fantasy movie with good characterization and a great story.
history of the world pt 1 castle in the sky, spirited away, princess mononoke,Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind all of them great fantisy movies, not like LoTR but definatly something you don't see every day, maybe less so with nausica but still good
