Not at all, I think we're all still checking back. I'll give it a shot, thanks.
This is a late reply too but 'The Shining' and 'Jacob's Ladder' are excellent.
Movies with very climatic reveal of any kind. Something like in final scene in Usual Suspectes, "Detective!" in Se7en or latest episode of Facepunch's favourite TV show - Game of Thrones ([sp]scene where Catalyn hears the music and realizes what's going on[/sp])?
'Atonement' Keira Knightly and James McAvoy deliver. Fantastic film with a killer twist at the end. One of my fav's.
he said europe, not england. time bandits would be a better example.
I don't think anyone realized I was kidding
No I did. Its a comedy after all right? I recently saw Aguirre wrath of god and for some reason I expected to recieve the punchlines Monty pyton is known for. But I guess aguirre fits the bill for an europeean history movie... Someone here asked for a con movie, heres one i really liked and its got a BIG twist, just like the one in "usual suspects".Its called " house of games " from 1987. Its one of my favorite movie twists of all...
I want a list of some of the best horror movies on Netflix instant streaming.
I know The Thing is there and Event Horizon might be there as well.
Anybody have any good recommendations for horror movies that are a bit more serious and realistic?
Anybody have any good recommendations for horror movies that are a bit more serious and realistic?
I remember really liking Blair Witch Project back in the day for its impression of authenticity in emotional response, but that's my unpopular opinion. Depending on what you mean by "realistic" Below (2002) might fit the bill. It's a horror-mystery-thriller I stumbled upon one night that I really liked for its suspense and setting (filmed on an actual submarine).
Anybody have any good recommendations for horror movies that are a bit more serious and realistic?
Again, I'll suggest The Thing.
Anybody have any good recommendations for horror movies that are a bit more serious and realistic?
Manhunter Se7en Not exactly horror but still
Does anyone know a movie similar to Smokin' Aces? Except for Smokin' Aces 2, of course.
Snatch.
Snatch.
That's a good suggestion but I've already seen that and other Ritchie's movies. Any other ideas?
Anyone know any good emo movies like The Intouchables
Any one know movies about martial arts, brotherhood, discipline, struggle, etc. Here's a list of the type of movies I'm talking about and have seen: The Five Deadly Venoms The Chinese Connection Secret Rivals The Hot, the Cool and the Vicious Martial Arts of Shaolin Hero Fearless Curse of the Golden Flower Shaolin and Wu-Tang Fist of the White Lotus Eight-Diagram Pole Fighter The 36th Chamber of Shaolin
Hm what about 'Once upon a time in China', 'Shaolin Temple' and 'Wuxia'?
Hm what about 'Once upon a time in China', 'Shaolin Temple' and 'Wuxia'?
Thank you, I'm going to get and watch all three of those.
Just watched Ju-On and Ju-On 2, need some more Japanese spooky movies.
Just watched Ju-On and Ju-On 2, need some more Japanese spooky movies.
Ringu - The Ring Reincarnation ("Rinnie") That's all I can think of at the moment, it's late. I'll second your request; I really like these kind of movies myself.
I have four movies checked out from the library that I need to see. I haven't seen any of them and can't pick which one to watch tonight (or maybe tomorrow). - Darkman - Escape from New York - The Hunchback of Notre Dame - Persepolis Also, is Cloud Atlas worth a watch? It sounds intriguing but the running time is off-putting.
I'd say flip a coin between Darkman and Escape from New York. And Cloud Atlas is at least worth a rental.
any good torture porn movies? good as in there are gory, brutal, torture sequences? a serbian film was nice but it didnt really show that much torture (but it was emotionally scarring as hell!)
Just watched Jacob's Ladder, and now I'm craving some more psychological movies.
any good torture porn movies? good as in there are gory, brutal, torture sequences? a serbian film was nice but it didnt really show that much torture (but it was emotionally scarring as hell!)
Hostel 1 and 2 The Human Centipede
I spent a bit of time browsing the Google Play Store yesterday for various films and I bookmarked this lot: Days of Glory Iron Sky Hamburger Hill Cross of Honour Lebanon: The Soldiers Journey Arch Knight Templar Memorial Day X-Men First Class Excalibur Inception Men in Black 3 Saints and Soldiers 2: Airborne Creed The Mechanic (newer version) What do you lot think I should see first? Which are the best? I also had Inglorious Basterds on this list but I watched that today, and I heartily reccomend that to anyone looking for a unique movie that leaves you wondering what just happened.
Excalibur Hamburger Hill Inception I hate to admit it, but that's all I've seen. I honestly can't tell you which order you should watch them in.
I need a good "Roman" timeframe movie. Preferably a very violent one. I have already seen Centurion, most of The Eagle, Gladiator, and I have also watched every episode of the Spartacus TV show.
There's the Spartacus movie, plus I believe that there was another Spartacus tv show/miniseries. King Arthur has some Roman stylings in a medieval film. If you go with it, find the Director's Cut.
I highly recommend the HBO series, "Rome", although like everyone will say, it ended too quickly since it got cancelled after Season 2
