I highly recommend the HBO series, "Rome", although like everyone will say, it ended too quickly since it got cancelled after Season 2
Damn, already saw that one. loved it though.
In hindsight, why was it cancelled? It was basically Game of Thrones before Game of Thrones.

It was way too expensive. Cost over $100 million between them and BBC, and the sets for it spanned 5 acres

Game of Throne's budget nowadays exceeds Rome by the way[/SUB][/SUP]

Is that $100 million per season or for both season? GoT has way less than $100 million per season

HBO has made a lot of money since then so it has allowed them to have higher budgets. Plus GoT is more popular than Rome. And I think its total.
Also most GoT episodes cost around $6 million, so each season would be about $60 million-ish, give or take
Hostel 1 and 2
The Human Centipede
i watched these already, anything else?
Salo, or 100 Days of Sodom may fit your request.
i already watched that too, pretty sick
I've been watching quite a few hillbilly cannibal films lately, just wandering if there is anymore?
I've seen:
Wrong Turn 1-5
Hills Have Eyes 1-2
The Hills Run Red
I'm not necessarily looking for a movie, but I'm looking for some new series to watch. I have seen both HBO's "Girls" and "Bored to Death", and I'm looking for some series that will have the same sort of Mumblecore or Indy feel to them. I'm also completely open to web-series too, such as High Maintenance.
Check out "Rectify".
Could be Pitch Black, there's a number of different suns and planets on view at various points
It's not Pitch Black or The Chronicles of Riddick that I'm thinking about (although for some reason my mind did want to think Vin Diesel was in it - maybe it's a very similar movie and my mind is getting memories mixed up). I actually considered watching Pitch Black that night, but after the experience I had I'm sure as hell glad I didn't or I'd probably have freaked out MAJORLY :v:
Looking for some drama/romance movies. Something like Silver Linings Playbook
Looking for a mockumentary horror movie, or a horror movie with a plausible plot, or at least the feeling it actually took place.
Mockumentary horror would be awesome, though.

I can't for the life of me think of an example of satire and horror mixing.
However, for horror filmed with techniques to make it feel like it really took place, I'd recommend [rec], The Blair Witch Project and maybe, possibly, Paranormal Activity.

Maybe I got the lingo wrong, by mockumentary I meant a movie in a documentary format. Like Noroi: The Curse

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Punch-Drunk Love. Both on Netflix.
Both are pretty well known and you may have seen them already, but they're magnificent.

The Last Broadcast. I think it's shit but give it a try.
I just watched through the whole film "Come and See." Holy fuck that was a disturbing movie. Probably one of the best WW2 movies I've ever seen, not because of any particular aspect besides how utterly effective it is in conveying the genocide that was wrought in the Eastern Front of the war. The similar movie of it's type that I know if seems to be "The Pianist."

Haven't seen Punch-Drunk Love, I'll check that one out, thanks.
Eternal Sunshine was a mind fuck, but it was pretty amazing!
Going on an eight hour car ride tomorrow, need to keep myself occupied. Movie, tv show, whatever. Anything is appreciated.

You should watch Rome.

I'm in the process of watching Star Trek: The Next Generation at the moment; never have I been more positively surprised with a TV series, I could watch it for a whole day. There's just something about its way of being serious, humorous and cringe-worthy all at the same time. Also, Patrick Stewart is a god amongst men.
Stargate, you'll be hooked for the next month or two
I want something on religion (just an interest of mine). Like a documentary.

Only SG:1 though, the others were all kinda... eh.
You could just watch (or rewatch) Firefly. Speaking of which, I need to do that too.

Any particular religion?

I thought Atlantis was decent. And that combined with SG1 is at least 225 hours of material.

No, anything. I wish there was one on animism/shamanism.

Don't know if it's quite what you want, but I enjoyed Religulous.
I want something on religion (just an interest of mine). Like a documentary.
Maybe Tree of Life, not sure. It's not really a documentary, or about religion. But religion themes it. And this movie is not definately for everyone. If you don't like slow, symbolic art films then this is not for you.
I found it to be good, even though most find it very bland.
Any real scary modern films like 2005+?
Grudge
Sinister
