Any real scary modern films like 2005+? Grudge Sinister
Evil Dead isn't out yet, but you could possibly find a rip of it somewhere or wait until it releases.
Looking for adult-oriented animation, but not too mature, something along the lines of The Simpsons Movie, not like Fritz the Cat.
Samurai Jack. The whole thing.
That's adult oriented? I thought it was more of a kids show that adults can also enjoy. I was looking for something on a similar content level of The Simpsons or Futurama.
Samurai Jack is badass

They are no more 'adult' than Samurai Jack, they are less so (imo) Have you ever watched Samurai Jack? It's badass, very well done artistically, and overall just a great show. You can power through the whole series in a day sadly, because they only made 30 some episodes.

Is there anything similar to Luther? Like a crime investigation drama preferably based in the UK but I'm not that fussed. Preferably with a good ongoing plot rather than a case of the day sort of deal.
If this is a TV request, Hannibal might suit you, though there is some case of the week stuff and it's not UK.

I consider it to be better than Luther overall, sadly it has closed plot in one season. Starring Chiwetel Ejiofor and Christopher Eccleston. If you want something with very strong, cocky main protagonist and western feeling, I cannot recommend you Justified enough.
Any other good psychological thrillers like The Tenant made recently? I can't find any good new thriller movies, so they must be made nowadays by really small studios or something.
what about roman polanski's other "character goes crazy alone in room" movie, Repulsion
what about roman polanski's other "character goes crazy alone in room" movie, Repulsion
Yeah but it's not all that new, I'm really curious if anyone even can make a film like that anymore. My hope is lying in indie films, hopefully someone has enough talent in that field because big budget productions seem to be about monster giants and slashers at the moment.
Any decent animated movies? I just saw How to Train Your Dragon and was wondering if i missed any other good films. I've seen all of pixar's work most of studio ghibli's.

Any movies you guys can recommend where the bad guys win? I'm getting kinda sick of the goodies winning every damn time.
Only God Forgives, but then again, that depends on who you think the villain is. [editline]27th July 2013[/editline] And The Ninth Gate to an extent.
Any movies you guys can recommend where the bad guys win? Yeah, I can't believe I didn't think of those. Damn, I'm losing my touch.
I'm sorry if this isn't the right thread to ask, but I can't find anywhere else to ask. I can't seem to remember the name of it, but does anyone know of that World War II movie where there's the Korean and the Japanese guy that competed but end up going on a big journey across the different fronts of the war? I really want to watch it.
I wanted to give Solaris a try, should I watch the original movie of 1979 or the remake?

Anyone got a recommendation of a really good comedy?
Shaun of the Dead Hot Fuzz Monty Python and the Holy Grail Anchorman
I always found it really hard to recommend comedy but The_J-Hat's got good recommendations but I would start on Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. What would help is telling us what comedy movies you like.
