he should really watch The Raid Redemption because it's dope
I don't know if that's much like D13, but it's a damn amazing action movie.
Looking for anything like D13, don't really care about language.
Breaking News (Chinese/Cantonese) Goryachie Novosti (remake)(Russian)
You've probably already seen it, but Reservoir Dogs takes place directly after a heist, dealing with what the characters do afterwards. It's a great movie.
Yeah, I've seen it, and I loved it.
I want to watch some good comedy, but I've seen many of them, so I don't know what to pick. Help please, I wanna have watching session with my buddy, but we don't have anything in mind.
Sleeper from Woody Allen and Private Parts
so I'm really into medieval themes; knights, princesses, kings, castles, a lot like Pillars of the Earth, Game of thrones, etc. My favorite movie of all time is Dragonheart, too, so if anyone has any good movies / shows that have these themes, I would appreciate it! Eragon doesn't count, pretend that movie doesn't exist. I've seen Lotr and I've watched the Arthur series; the second dragonheart made me cringe so hard my dick went inside me.

I recall there being at least one good Ivanhoe movie but I'm not sure which
Kingdom of Heaven's pretty epic (albeit painfully inaccurate in a few parts), Vikings TV show.
thanks for the suggestions! Vikings is a great tv show too omg

Hasn't had great reviews but may be enjoyable for those who are into Steve Carell, Jim Carrey type of comedy.
What is a good movie on Netflix that I can watch tonight? Any genre, I don't really care.
Kingdom of Heaven's pretty epic (albeit painfully inaccurate in a few parts)
Watch the director's cut; it's much better.
Actually. [t]http://i.imgur.com/SsQLBJp.jpg[/t] Which one?
Watch the director's cut; it's much better.
Thought we didn't even have to say that
Eh, it's just in case if someone here didn't know about it. You could never be too safe.
Kingdom of Heaven's pretty epic (albeit painfully inaccurate in a few parts), Vikings TV show.
If you do go with Kingdom of Heaven, make sure it's the Director's Cut. It makes an already great film so, so much better. [editline]30th September 2013[/editline]
Watch the director's cut; it's much better.
Fuck you. [editline]30th September 2013[/editline]
Thought we didn't even have to say that
Ah fuck.
Sorry for the bump but i got a request, are there any movies where all or most of the main characters die that ARN'T horror movies? I had an example in mind but I can't think of it at the moment
Can someone recommend me a very brutal, bloody/gory movie that isn't bad? Along the lines of Battle Royale, but preferably in English.

[editline]10th October 2013[/editline]
Can someone recommend me a very brutal, bloody/gory movie that isn't bad? Along the lines of Battle Royale, but preferably in English.
I've heard that The Raid: Redemption is brutal, but I've not seen it, though I've heard very good things. Are you really looking for a violent film in a similar vein as Battle Royale, or are you looking for a film that has violence on the level of Battle Royale?
Are you really looking for a violent film in a similar vein as Battle Royale, or are you looking for a film that has violence on the level of Battle Royale?
The same level of violence. I guess anything Tarantino (or at least most of it) would suffice, but I've basically seen all of his stuff and I'm looking for something new.
Any films like Nightmare on Elm street series? Things I like about it: comedy non computer special effects consistent and overarching mythology 80s era atmosphere Also, are there any hidden gem superhero films?
Any good prison movies? I saw Shawshank Redemption a couple of days ago, anything else? [editline]10th October 2013[/editline] Also any good gang movies, by that I mean black/latino gangs I've seen Menace II Society and Boyz in the Hood
Can anyone recommend any good 80s cop action (can be half comedy) movies? Stuff like Lethal Weapon, Beverly Hills Cop or Die Hard.
So can anyone recommend a good movie or TV series set in the Middle Ages? I'd love something around the Anarchy in England, but I don't think there is anything Even a documentary would be great [editline]10th October 2013[/editline] Fantasy stuff is cool too. I've heard okay things about the Camelot series, but I've also heard really negative things
For the love of all that is holy, please do not watch Camelot. It is the worst festering piece of donkey shit that I have ever seen in my entire life. After just a few episodes I wanted to put a shotgun into my mouth and pull the trigger. It's THAT bad

Monty Python and the Holy Grail- albeit a comedy- does present an incredibly accurate rendition of the period. Same with the Christopher Reeve Superman films, but skip three and beyond. Any movies that is heavily based on cars/car chases? (not racing though) [editline]14th October 2013[/editline] Not including Drive if you count it as something like that
Mad Max The Road Warrior
Any films like Nightmare on Elm street series? Things I like about it: comedy non computer special effects consistent and overarching mythology 80s era atmosphere Also, are there any hidden gem superhero films?
Raimi's Evil Dead trilogy is right up your alley, especially the second and third movies. The first is straight up horror, the second is tongue in cheek horror more like Nightmare on Elm Street, and the third is straight up Looney Toons. They slightly retcon events at the beginning of each movie but otherwise it focuses on a singular evil entity in a single universe. They are all very eighties, though the third one was released in '91. Finally, the effects are just about as cheesy as they get. The most complex you will get is stop motion animation with chroma keying. As for superhero movies, there are tons of great animated features knocking about. Consider Batman: Year One, Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, and The Dark Knight Returns parts 1 and 2 for starters. You might be most comfortable with Superman/Batman: Apocalypse because it uses the DCAU voice cast so if you've grown up watching Kevin Conroy and George Newbern as Bats and Supes from the Justice League cartoons then it will feel more natural. DC's animated films are generally much better than Marvel's from what I've seen, but some are alright such as Planet Hulk. If you want a superhero film that is less serious, consider the Adam West Batman film, which has the same jovial sillyness and lighthearted fun that you would expect from West.
Also, are there any hidden gem superhero films?
You might wanna research some animated superhero movies as a lot of them are pretty good and often overlooked. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Batman: Under The Red Hood and Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox are generally considered to be very well made.
Twist Ending films? the ones that makes you 'holy shit' in the end like [sp]The Prestige, Shutter Island, Repo Men, The Sixth Sense, Fight Club, The Others[/sp] Fuck sorry i fucked up spoiler tags
