I loved the new Dredd movie that came out recently, any good movies that are similar to that style?
I loved the new Dredd movie that came out recently, any good movies that are similar to that style?
Sin City is a lot like Dredd when I think about it. A lot of the movie is basically a rugged vigilante and a "above the law" cop running killing people that went unpunished by law. The action is also really stylish just like it is in Dredd.

How is Deckard an antihero?
How is Deckard an antihero?
He isn't but it fits with rugged, cyberpunk and apocalypse so I thought it might be worth mentioning. [editline]16th October 2013[/editline] Though the guy's occupation is bounty hunting so anti-hero isn't really that far off either.
I think what we're all trying to get at here is that there really isn't another movie like Dredd and that there should be a sequel.
Since you rated me disagree and thus indicate that you do not even think of Deckard as close to antihero I suggest you search up "deckard antihero" and you'll find many articles that discuss the topic of Deckard as a classic movie anti-hero, he is even listed as such on TV-Tropes. I mean come on the guy spends half the movie running around killing innocent to not-so-innocent androids that all have in common that they wanted to escape a life of slavery. I mean just look at this scene:
Thought about responding earlier but didn't care to. I think he's a person who has a good sense of morality in general, which excludes him from antihero status imo. I'll at least give you that he's a more grey character than most. Also the movie has nothing to do with the Apocalypse. Given, it has a dystopian nature but nothing apocalyptic has occurred. With all that set aside, its definitely on my top 10 favorite movies list. Lastly, we really need more good dystopian science fiction movies

I'll watch it then [editline]16th October 2013[/editline] Quick question: Where do i start watching star wars series? The old ones are okay?
I'd stick to Episodes IV-VI. The Prequel Trilogy will just make you gag.
I've just finished watching Deadwood. Can anyone recommend me a good modern Western?
Is Salinger worth a watch? I've heard mixed things about it.

Not too much like 21JS but Office Space is hilarious
Any movies that is heavily based on cars/car chases? (not racing though) [editline]14th October 2013[/editline] Not including Drive if you count it as something like that
Steve McQueen's "Bullitt" (also "Le Mans", but it's racing) would be the best start. "Vanishing Point" (1971) is also great.
The Thing, The Shining, The Room
Looking for movies like Jumper other than The Matrix. Anyone who's seen the former have an idea?
Looper's pretty good. Also Twelve Monkeys. You might like Chronicle but I personally hate that movie (Sorry Chronicle apologists, dwi)
There's two films I've recently watched and I absolutely adore them: "I'm Not There," and "Cloud Atlas." I noticed both of them feature multiple actors playing multiple parts throughout an anachronistic plot line. Any other good movies that fir this sort of description?
